so i was watching tv earlier and saw a commercial how this married guy was looking at a lcd tv. He looks over to the wife, she says no because it's expensive. She then finally says yes at a certain B&M store, and he finally gets all excited.

It hit me that my dad has to ask my mom for the approval for such things like a tv and whatnot. I find it pretty funny and wondered if this typically happens to others.

On an interesting note, i know my mom doesnt ask for my dad's approval. hm.... why is that...

my dad makes our financial decisions mostly coz we are quite a patriarchal family but i seriously think my mom should be the one to because she makes better decisions.

My dad mainly makes the decisions in the house. Thank god for that! My mum is indecisive and makes bad choices.

I think it depends my mom makes decision on things like our budget for food and necessary clothing and things but, my dad makes the big decisions for like investments and other business.

My dad is the one who usually makes the big decision around the house and such, including financial decisions also. Because my dad have a very short tempered, my mom rarely makes the big decisions >__>;

My dad acts like he makes the monetary decisions, but it's my mom that really organizes our money. Thank god for her. If she didn't, I doubt we'd have enough money. o_o

Like when my mom wants to buy a TV she asks my dad and when my dad wants to buy a new car he asks my mom.
My family is not very traditional ( the dad doesn't make all the decisions)

Mostly my mom. No, no..almost all.
Maybe bcoz my mom earn more money than my dad.
embarrassing to admit but money rules my family.
My mom doesn't need approval from my dad to buy things, but more to ask advice only. If didn't get along then she will ask children.
My dad can not control or lead the family. He is too passive.

So, i guess, money earner made the decision mostly.
