Hey guys. So my phone contract for verizon has ended for a while now, and I'm in need for a phone change.
I'm a texter so I narrowed my options to these two, Samsung Alias and LG env2. Not much of a fan of looks, but what can you do. At least I can call and text with both of them. That's what I mostly care about. Communication, aesthetics is always a plus, but I made these 2 choices.
No one recommend the samsung glyde or the voyager for I am not a fan of touch when it comes to cell phones.

Anyone have these phones. I'm having a hard time choosing which one to go for.
Pros, Cons and experiences will be nice.
Any recommendations for buying a certain one or not buying?
Thank you.

I'd say go with the Alias. It's a bit older, but I think the env2 is just ugly... what's with that screen...
honestly... you're not half as special as you think you are.

I'm not impressed with either of the phones. I think the first enV is a lot better than the second. The square is look is very unappealing and the alias isn't very stylish in my opinion. I know you're not a fan of touch screens but the voyager has such a big screen in the front and the inside screen is pretty big too with a nice sized keyboard.

But in between the two I think I would pick enV too. My friend has the alias and it looks flimsy.

like WitchGoddess said, the Alias feels really flimsy. I prefer the ENV2 over it

I just got the enV2 on friday and I personally LOVE it. My previous phone was the Chocolate... which they ruined with the 3rd version, bleh.

The only gripe I have with it is that when you engage the exterior screen for picture taking it doesn't actually give a accurate position of where the camera is shooting at just because the screen isn't big enough for it. (The phone doesn't have one of those mini mirrors)

The screen shouldn't be a problem at all the only thing your going to use it for is looking at what numbers you press when you call. While you can text on the screen who would want to if it has the qwer keyboard smile.gif It also looks like a pocket calculator woot haha

You should go with the enV2 biggrin.gif

I'd get the samsung alias or why not the lg rumour?

the lg env2 is so clunky and the screen ugly.

^ LG Rumor is on Sprint, and I'm a Verizon customer.
Still contemplating. The Alias is more pocketable, but I tried the texting on it and it's a bit tough since you have to do all this other steps in order to get to certain punctuations.
I tried the env2 and the texting is very very good.

I'd rather get the EnV2... The Alias is so old, and its keypad is god awful.

why not get the LG voyager- it's a bit chubby but it's got the keypad and a touch screen on the front instead of the env2's calculator screen. Since the LG dare came out, the voyager should be pretty cheap now.

^ the voyager is $150 right now. Its still pretty expensive for a phone that came out so long ago. The samsung instinct is even cheaper, but its in the sprint network.
