I am currently taking AP Human Geography,
and boy,
I thought it was gonna be easy,
but it sure isn't.
AP course generally require more, ugghh, thinking?
(I dont really know how to put it).
But that is the only AP class I am taking.
I am taking PIB (pre-international baccalaureate) LIT/COMP & SPANISH classes, because my school offeres the IB program.
Otherwise,
I am afraid to say I can't really help you.

I took AP US History last year and am taking AP Stats this year, and oh boy, I thought both of them would be easy, but AP classes move QUICKLY, and teachers don't do much discussing (over here, at least). You basically have to learn things by yourself. But everything is so worth it. I think you should try both Honors/AP if you're up for it.

SAME HERE!!!
In AP, you have to do a lot of the learning on your own.
My AP Human Geo teacher kinda sucks,
because we read, and we take notes (her notes don't help for tests, either),
so you have to go home, and make your own notes, and study those.
Teachers aren't going to go through and explain everything like you are used to,
so you have to learn to teach yourself.
That is my word of widsom for today, hahh hah.

I don't know what Honors is to you, but honors for us is a step above regular, but lower than AP.
Honors really is nothing.. it might be more difficult than regular, but there wasn't a huge work load.
AP omg.. I'm in 5 AP classes this year and I'm doing homework non-stop.

AP- Very rigorous, even the "Easy" AP's aren't quite that easy, you must be self-motivated and time efficent. If not you will, bluntly put, be screwed. You probably will need to stay after or come before for help, and you will need to study at least 3 hours a week (per subject) at the very minnimum.

i took history AP for 2 years(World & US) and i did so bad on the exam
but the classes overall was fun(except the homework, which was reading the chapters)
i'm currently taking AP Statistics, and the homework is okay, but the projects are crazy o_O
and the thing that makes it worse is that, my AP stats teacher has the worst accident ever-__-
There's not much difference between honors & CP (well for me that is) In honor's.. you just get more homework & classwork

AP, if you want a challenge. Some AP classes are ranked more rigorous than others though, ask your schoolmates.

AP U.S. History: A LOT OF ALL NIGHTERS......
AP U.S. Government and Politics: Easy for me
AP Literature: Had a whack teacher
American Literature Honors/AP prep: Moderate
Sophomore English honors: Easy
let's just say after you take AP...regular classes are ridiculously easy. And if someone who is not taking AP complains how much HW they get. You can shut them up immediately

its very straight forward, and theres not a lot of homework
but at my particular school, the difference in reg english and ap english is WOW
they expect ALOT from you. ap english is the hardest AP class in my opinion! but ironically the test is easy..just the class is so rigorous.
its different for history though..i took ap us, euro, and gov and its better than a regular class in that you just have to keep up with the reading on your own time. its good for lazy people like me who hate when things are due everyday.
i think the difference lies in that ap classes: harder tests, must process the knowledge yourself, less hw, must budget your time
regular classes: lots of homework, easier tests, not alot of difficult material to work with.
never seen the sunshine brighter
and it feels like me, on a good day ♪

English 11 H, we're reading 5 books in the first semester, 11 books during the entire school year.
we've been reading Othello for about one and a half weeks, and we're already on the 4th scene, halfway through the book
like regular english just ended the 1st scene.
and obviously, there's going to be more work.
also, the teacher in honors/ap expect students to have a real in depth knowledge of what you're learning, so you can't really bs your way through essays or tests.
and it's true that in AP classes teachers don't really care what students are doing. it's more of a "here's the info, go and memorize/understand it, be ready for the test. it's your responsibility to learn the material, not mine"
i'm taking AP Bio right now and everyday in class it's like omg why did i sign up for this class? it's hardddd. but english honors is easier because you can't really go THAT in depth in english because there's only so much you can analyze.

Honors English 2 years taking AP This year.
I really don't know how regular is becuase my grammar school, before I entered high school never had that system. But in HS It's a lot of work and writing. I have essays every day now.
Then I had CP history in freshman year since honors didn't fit in my schedule had Honors last year now I'm in APUSH. Eh, I swear being in a CP class makes you feel like you get dumber just because at the rate the class is going and the people who are in there. Honors is definetly faster and APUSH gosh it's like a mile a minute, and it's only been about a week in.
Honors Math: Algebra 2, Geometry, now Pre-Calculus Junior year.
I swear those are the easiest classes ever. I have no problems in those classes, I treat them like a regular classes, since it's not as challenging. Some concepts are a bit hard to understand if you don't pay attention but after a while you can figure it out. It's just memorizing rules and applying them in problems.
Sciences: All Honors throughout, Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry. In my Junior Year now taking honors physics and AP Chem.
Physical & Biology are the easiest science classes, and right now Physics is a breeze. Chemistry last year I had to study, and now AP Chem is such a challenge, I didn't do as well as I hoped to on my first test, that's an indication that I really really really have to study.
With my classes I stayed up late all night and my Honors English teacher last year was insane. the final project everyone slept late, at around 4 a.m. or some slept when the sun rose and appeared late to school. =__= It was dreadful.
I think the only regular classes I ever had was Modern World History and Spanish, and those are in freshman year.
But a transition from a regular to an honors is different, more work.
Look at it this way, treat an Honors Class as a regular class. You just have a little bit more work than you used to get.
One of the good things about the Honors/AP class: weighted credit and your not stuck with really really clueless people.
Question: Why move to Honors in March and why not just right away? Honestly you should do it immediately or within the 1st marking period. Once you switch to Honors in March you may be out of track, since that class is more ahead and where you left off in CP may not be where they left of in Honors.

because my english teacher said whoever is interested in moving up to honors she'll see how i'm doing for some months and i don't know if it's just our school but you have to wait till march ... btw march is around the beginning of the 3rd marking period
