I'm seeing Caramelldansen of every anime I've seen. I'm wondering, where the heck did this originate from?

i've never seen this before.. it's cute. i just googled it and it said it was originated from this anime popotan.. someone took a clip of the op where the 2 ppl dance and turn it into a gif. it wasn't popular until it was spread around in 4chan's forum. it's like the american uma uma in japan.

I discovered Caramelldansen just a couple of weeks ago too. It's cute, but after a while you're like yeah......

But I didn't know where it had originated...
