i survived taking 3 summer classes( 2 online ) + full time work ( IN COLLEGE)

it was so intense though . . philosophy english and us history...

but i am wondering if 6 upper division classes in university would be hard?

cause i know it wont be the same as college GE classes

lol i guess for some ppl its possible but not for me, unless your super smart it would be nothing for u but if your just a normal person, man your going to have to sacrifice a lot and stress a lot
how many times must I fall over and over again? and when will i finally succeed at a such a vital point in my life while my time is dwindling away???

i'm currently taking 6 upper levels and 1 lower level.
i also work part time. so yes it's possible. but it's really time-consuming and i don't let myself have much of a social life. it's only for one semester so i guess it's worth it to me.

Are you guys taking like 6 3 unit courses? Most number of classes I have taken is 5 I think. I did fine.

WOW i didn't even know colleges let you take 6 classes! I took five classes last semester, and it wasnt THAT bad, but when it came to exam time oh man, i definitely pulled all nighters, since i would have all my exams at about the same time! I wouldn't recommend 6 classes, but it IS do-able. Just have time management and don't get too stressed and you'll be fine! And start studying for your exams like 2 weeks ahead of time, cause trust me with 6 classes..yeah..studying like the day before is killer lol! Good luck!

i've done it once last fall, and i pretty much had design/photography classes which were really time consuming with the labs and everything. i managed to get the best grades of my college career lol

depends on the class...
i did CS back in college. just my compilers and OS class took up most of my nights at the lab. i wouldn't take 6 classes if more than 3 of them assign programming projects that span for weeks at a time. usually those are not only time consuming, but it's not like science/art labs where you can keep progressing forward. debugging is a b*tch when you are writing code onto a legacy system made to support the assignment.

most pure CS classes i ever took in 1 sem was 4, with two of them having large programming projects.

for my school if you go over 18 hours you have to pay extra money
but i think taking 6 core classes for your major is a bit too much.
im taking 5 core classes and 1 lab for engineering and i'm dying lol

I'm taking... two electrical/computer eng. (ECE) classes this semester (Okay... that includes, like... a 2 hour problem session for one and a 2.5-3 hour lab for the other... So the other one might as well be a 6 credit as opposed to 3 credits, but that's just me), a CSC course and psych. Idk....

It's up to you dude. I don't think it's allowed here... I mean, you have to get permission from your advisor around here... If you can do it, more power to you.

I suppose it's possible, depending on your time management skills. I wouldn't expect to have much of a social life though, with that schedule..T__T

For me personally, I wouldn't be able to do it because I procrastinate way too much. I don't focus very well, and I like to have a lot of free time. D: Not to mention, I have two jobs. Three upper division classes is good enough for me right now. ^__^;;

Yes.

I took 8 three-credit-courses. Usually I just take a normal 5 three-credited. But I'm taking 8 again in Spring.
I'm not a dork. I just want to graduate.
Which I will this Spring [so I've got to take the 8 courses] happy.gif

I think by the time you reach your junior or senior year, your semesters are usually pretty loaded. I'm taking 6 full upper division courses, 2 PE courses (to relax and get some exercise from all the sitting and studying), doing research, and working part-time. It's not that bad. You just need to be time-efficient, and you have absolutely no social life whatsoever.

At my school that would be 24 units, so you'd need to get permission first... but I heard it's quite possible. A couple of my friends took around that much every quarter and did fine o_o

I wouldn't do it unless it's REALLY easy stuff and you know you can keep up. I'm doing a full schedule now (four classes) but two of them are online and one isn't so difficult. If you don't think you'll have a freak out and can do well in the classes than why not? Personally I would rather do at least a half full schedule during the summer. So I think it just depends on the difficulty of classes.
