I'm learning about time management and it tells me to write down about things that wastes my time - something that doesn't have purpose or any well intended outcome. I think surfing the net has to be on the top of my list. I don't watch much of T.V. Not much commuting. Yes, I blame soompi. sweatingbullets.gif

Yeah, me too. If I specified even further, I'd say photography as well, but it's a hobby, not a time sucker/waster.

Well you'd have to define what wasting time actually means. As long as there is some benefit there, time's never wasted.

Surfing the net and watching dramas are my top two time wasters.

As long as I'm happy with what I did with that time, I don't consider anything 'wasted time' may it be surfing the net or watching a drama.

I think that we should try to stop putting some sort of hierarchy when it comes to hobbies with things like clubbing and getting drunk at the top and things like spending time alone listening to music or surfing the net at the bottom. As long as there is no addiction involved and that we can still take care of whatever has to be taken care of...who cares biggrin.gif

I agree. I mean, if cannabis is factored into this, I suppose you could say that half my entire day is pretty much spent wasted.

Surfing the net usually burns a lot of time for me. If i'm not watching old TV episodes then i spend it on youtube lol, it works for me.

I Surf the net a lot and i play online games a lot, too. But i guess i couldn't count them as time wasters. It's a form of relaxation, besides i got nothing else to do after work anyway. tongue.gif

I think as long as you're enjoying what you're doing then it really isn't wasted time. Wasted time to me is going shopping with the lady or being stuck in traffic :/

Hm but surfing the net and watching TV may be considered your leisure time, so it's not really wasting your time, unless if you want to work 24/7.
What's wasting my time is my mind not ready/scared to work on this thing I've tried to work on. So I keep on delaying it by doing random things. Days pass and i realize I still have gone nowhere with what I need to do. Gahh T_T

goshhh, i'm probably like the only loser on here that did this.

but...yeah,

i used to wait for my X to call me. he'd call around 11pm and then say he'll call me right back (which he never does)
and even though i knew he wasn't gonna call me back, mellow.gif instead of sleeping...i would just watch tv, sit around and wait.
the latest i stayed up waiting was probably around five in the morning.
yahhhh...pretty pathetic dry.gif

also, being stuck in traffic for an hour every day. sleep.gif
such a waste.
I would never let a woman kick my ass. If she tried something, I'd be like, HEY! You get your b*tch ass back in the kitchen and make me some pie!

All my time is wasted reading "My Immortal" at fanfic.net, and then going to check to see if there are any new and funny and facinating reviews on the fic, and then going to lurk the Tara Gilesbie Fanclub at Live Journal.

And going to IMdB to read trivia on movies I've recently watched, and reading the forums there.

And being on Soompi.

And watching videos at YouTube.

Well when I think of wasting my time it's when I'm doing anything that's being lazy when I know I should be working on something else like an assignment or essay or whatnot. So it's not so much what you're doing but that you're doing it.

Well you'd have to define what wasting time actually means. As long as there is some benefit there, time's never wasted.

If I interpreted the author's intentions, it's like this. If you're doing something toward your goal or purpose, it isn't time wasted. Then he talks about several degrees and focus of results and outcomes, depending on your action. In other words, efficiency.

And taking a reasonable break from your 'work' is not a waste of time.

Then there's other things you do, that can be in a midway where you would have to make the decision whether it is a waste of time.

Being on net and watching drama are a waste of my time but strange enough, I can't do without them.

Boys.

Boys waste my time.
They always want to go out. Have dinner. Catch a movie. Shop.

Like this coming week.. I could be studying... but... I have four dates, mon wed thur and sat, and four guys.

God, I want to dream again. Take me somewhere I've never been. This time I'm not scared. facebook
