Hi, just thought if anyone can make sense of this.
I have a new 2009 Toyota Camry. I noticed that when I drive and park the car, I notice that a decent amount of liquid is leaking from the car. I took a sample with my hands and I'm pretty sure it's water.
So my question is whether or not this is normal?
I was told that this happens with cars when you use the air conditioner, which I do all the time. However, I don't remember this happening with my older cars. Any advice of whether this is serious or not?

Yes when you use the AC, water would normally drip.
The reason behind this is that any very cold component of the AC will cause condensation. Especially the evaporator inside the cabin. This part is the coldest part of the AC, because this evaporator cools the air that passes through it (like a radiator). Typically when you turn off the AC, the condensation drips off into the bottom of the housing and the water leaves through a duct to the bottom of the car.
The really bad thing is that if the water doesn't drip out and collects inside the evaporator housing, the evaporator will eventually corrode and fail. BTW, on your new Camry, you do have a cabin air filter, make sure this get changed every other year or so, because it protects crap from the outside from getting blown into the cabin and or potentially clogging or damaging the AC evaporator.
