I dropped my phonee in the toilet like, 2-3 weeks ago.
And at that time I took out the battery and sim and stuff
and blowdried all of it.
and then I put the phone and battery in rice (people said it worked) O: for a night, and my phone worked!

Some of the buttons didnt work then, and some went off and onn D:

And now, my 5, 8, and # are permanently not working T^T

I called at&t and asked if i could replace it with warranty;
but you couldnt replace it if it had water damage. -___-;

i sooo wanted to lie and say it wasnt water damaged, but you would have had to send the broken phone when you get the new phone; and they would see the sticker on the back turned pink ._.
arghhh this is frusteratinggg T_T
so theres no way to get a replacement phone without paying, huh? :/

No, sorry. Your warranty is void. If you look at your battery and also the back of your phone You will see either a red or pink little square sticker if it has water damage. If you do lie and they do send you the new(refurbished) phone. They will examine your old phone for water damage and if they see that you lied they will charge you retail price for the phone on your next bill.

Solution, Do an upgrade or go to walmart and buy yourself a dirt cheap gophone. Also you can also go to the AT&T website and buy a refurb gophone for cheap as well. The Sony Ericsson W580i is only $140. Just put your SIM card in and you don't even need to call AT&T to tell them.

yeah whatever you do don't take the phone into them. just go with a cheapy phone for now until you decide to spend a little more cash for a brand new one.

aw that sucks. My friend did the same thing to her phone, but she had verizon. They don't do anything for water damage either. So she had to pay like over a hundred dollars for a crappy phone.
You can get an unlocked phone on ebay or you can choose to get a cheap go phone like the first poster said.

you might want to give your old phone some more time
my older sister's phone got subjected to half an hour of bleach + water + dryer on high heat because my mom put it in the laundry bag by accident
the phone didn't work for a week, so my sister gave up on it and bought a cheap gophone
a year later, just for kicks, my little sister placed the battery in and pushed the power button, and it turned on
everything but the camera works fine
it was a sony ericsson

i got a cheap gophone too after i lost mine

I would get an upgrade, but I want my contract to end sooon so i can change to helio O:
so getting an upgrade would make my contract longer T_T
