Do Ucs Look At Weighted Gpa?

i really regret taking so many ap classes. my unweighted gpa is 3.3
but ive taken about 7 ap classes with As (counted as 5.0) and Bs (counted as 4.0) in grades 10-12. i also took about 4 honors classes. im not sure what my weighted gpa is but i don't think i can even get into a uc with a 3.3 gpa
im a senior right now and i have ap english, bio, and government econ. i was thinking about dropping ap english and going into regulars to boost my gpa but would it make a difference or is it too late? im applying for fall...thanks ><

You are so true.
I hope they consider weighted gpq more than unweighted.
I'm in the same position as you are...
B's in AP classes =/

I'm 99% sure the CSU and UC system calculates their own formula rather than using high school's weighted/unweighted. A B in AP > an A in CP definitely =) You'll be fine!

Just stay in the AP classes cause when you submit the application later this year, they won't even see the grade and it'll look good cause you'll be putting those AP classes as 'in progress' so it'll look even better. From my personal experience, really focus on the AP tests this year cause many UCs gives you credits for them. PLUS if you do good on your english, you might not even hvae to take the placement exam (waste of time) and/or skip English 1A and go to a more advanced course and complete your graduation requirements faster

Both UCs and CSUs only count four AP grades.
On your transcript there should be a "CSU GPA" or something similar.
But you shouldn't regret taking AP classes! They also look at what kind of classes you took, too. It's better than you get a B in an AP class than an A in a regular class because it shows that you want that higher learning.
