Why Do Koreans Loveeeee Starcraft not sayin SC is bad, but its super love!

haha not saying starcraft is a bad game. no no no not at all!


but why do.. starcraft players get worshiped like gods?!

i see girls all over screaming in strarcraft matches... lol and people watch it live..




so dedicated.... why?!

from what ive seen...theyre just normal korean highschool girls...

koreans love anything that they can be good at it...so even if its a video game - if you're amazing at it youre a god

'Cause Koreans are weird. StarCraft was fun when it first came out. Everyone was playing it, but over the years, better strategy games have appeared. I personally don't understand Koreans and their cult-like StarCraft obsession. Okay, they're good at it, but they can be good at other games too. Didn't a Korean company create Maple Story? They need to be more expansive with their choices.
The only thing that makes sense about life is death.

i don't know if any better strategy game has come out since SC imo. Sure there's RTS games that have better graphics like Command and Conquer and Warcraft 3, but in terms of gameplay, strategy, and balance.. SC is still the best.

Basically, SC has become to Korea what chess is to Russia. It's a difficult game to play right and it does take a ton of practice.

i completely agree.

i'm waiting for both sc2 and d3. i just bought a laptop since i don't have space for a desktop. hopefully by then i'll have space then i can build myself a nice desktop. w00t.gif

I guess it boils down to personal preference. I always found Total Annihilation and Dawn of War to be better than SC. I also had more fun playing the turn-based strategy Heroes of Might and Magic series and RTS Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds. The Age of Empire series also gets an honourable mention.
