Every morning I wake up to wash my face then brush my teeth . After washing my face and brushing my teeth , I would put on Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Stress Control 3-in-1 Hydrating Acne Treatment . When I go to school , I have to walk across the street and eventually walk outside most of the time to go to classes so that makes my skin oily . I was wondering how to get rid of the oily skin . Its just so so oily that when my friends look at me , they would ask , "Why is your face so shiny or oily?" That makes me feel bad . It also makes my skin red too . So , what I want to ask is : how do I get rid of oily skin and do you know any good treatment to prevent acne from coming all over again after getting rid of it ? I mean , the Acne Stress thing that I use every morning works , but its not that quick . Also , if I go outside and sweat , my skin gets more and more oily , it clog pores and I get acne right then and there . How do I solve all of these problems ?! I tried to be descriptional . Those who experienced this .. PLEASE HELP ! tears.gif
Proactiv
Acnefree
Clean&Clear Advantage Acne Control System
Neutrogena Complete Acne Therapy System
Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Stress Control 3-in-1 Hydrating Acne Treatment- its alright but still not so good ..
Some treatments/products that I tried already but won`t work so good on my skin ..

Um, I don't know how to get rid of oily skin, because I kind of have it too. Just not too serious.
Maybe carry oil blotting sheets around and blot them on your face before you go into class? (:
Sorry if I'm not much help! unsure.gif

Coalface from LUSH.

Honestly, this cleanser is my holy grail. It's the most effective cleanser I've used; definately better than the more commercial brands.
I started using Coalface about a month ago and I don't get pimples anymore AND it has faded all my scars. Also, my face is definately less oiler!

Don't be put off by the colour, it's just liquorice root =) Everything in it is natural too, so you don't have to worry about bad chemicals.

you should try doing the oil cleansing method. read about it here: http://www.theoilcleansingmethod.com/
it worked pretty good on me. & don't be worried about cleansing your face with oil , lol , when i first heard about it i freaked out. but really, oil cancels out oil.. so it won't make you more oily. btw, i personally think if you're going to use oil blotting papers.. don't use it a lot since it'll only make it worse because when you take the oil off your skin might get too dry and produce more oil.

If my face starts getting really oily, I exfoliate, or tighten my pores. I use Queen Helene's Mint Julep Mask once a week/every other and a egg white mask 2 times a week. The mint julep mask to extract dirt and dry up any pimples I have and the Egg white mask to tighten pores.

witsups?

For cleanser, I use Clean & Clear Oil Free... It works for me rolleyes.gif
I also brought Clean & Clear Oil Control Film to get rid of the oil on my skin when it happened... hehehehe...
Becoz I have the extra sensitive & oily skin, my doctor advise me not to use moisturizer cos it will make my skin more oily, except you use moisturizer non-oily based... And then I use loose powder rather than compact powder, becos if you use compact, you can get acnes/pimples easily...

The point is for oily & sensitive skin just use the oil free products... hehehehe... smile.gif

It smells very organic... I've read reviews where some people hate the smell, but I love it >""<

I don't know about face oil, but for acne I suggest going to a derma. My insurance paid for it, and it was the best thing I could have ever done for my skin. I had severe acne for four to five years, and it was getting worse. I was so frustrated. I had used Neutrogena, Clearisil, and Clean n Clear for a few months each. I then moved to Acne Free, but it didn't work either. I then used Proactive for about two years. It worked okay, but gave me horrible scars. I then used Aveda face wash, and that didn't go as well as I had hoped. I then went back to Proactiv, but my skin had gotten so used to it, that it wouldn't work anymore. I was so frustrated that I finally went to the derma, something I would have never done in a million years. And surprise surprise, my skin became clear. They looked at me for five minutes, gave me an analysis, and then sent me on my way. Five weeks later, my skin was so much healthier looking and clear. At the moment, I have only two pimples left to get rid of, and its a great feeling to know that my skin is clear. So I can not say it enough, but go to a dermatologist! I just wish I had done it five years earlier.

EDIT:
I also tried every home remedy in the book. I tried lemon on my skin, drinking ACV, drinking cinnamon water with honey, etc.
None of them worked for me sadly. I guess I'm just trying to emphasize DERMATOLOGIST! ^__^;;

I use EFFACLAR from La Roche-Posay

it's a lil bit expensive, but my skin isn't oily anymore, i think it's good.

I think Vichy and Avene products are good too...
