oh, mine never have either. i don't know a single asian family who partakes in the whole traditional american christmas experience, right down to the eggnog. i just went to this historical holiday evening display and tried it for the first time. it was so awesome. not just the eggnog, but the caroling and the snow and the gingerbread and the trees and decorations... if i have kids i am going to force the holidays down their throats.

Sounds admirable. I love the holidays, even though you cant tell it from the place i reside in (hawaii). Instead of snow, we have rain. People still decorate their houses, and up to age 16 or so a tradition we had was to go around the neighborhood admiring the decorations. It is an amazing holiday, you can really sense the love of family and such.

It just goes to show, you dont need snow to have christmas.

Peace!

Our family has turkey every Christmas, but that's as Christmas as we get laugh.gif My aunt is the only one who's Christian in the family, so the rest of us dont really "celebrate Christmas," per se.

man, my parents don't even buy a tree. it doesn't feel anything like christmas here. it's really saddening. i honestly did not feel like it was a holiday this year. i slept through most of it. =.=

as for the whole kids, i think i'd probably do the same. although i do admit i'd probably stop once they get sick of christmas and just want le presents. =.=

i think i've seen eli on webcam in av before. i forget. i know we've both seen jung, cuz he posted a pic from his website in irc. i know mike said he's seen tigerbaby, and he told me she's a white girl from texas or something. i forget. sung's never gonna show us anything more than his lips, like he used to on av. =.=

the only people i'd like to see more pics from is keri, melkimx (cuz she's cute <3), and my favorite dj on soompi radio <3

Same same ... I bet this comment will tell you everything ...
"What's eggnog?"
LOLs
I only remember an X-mas tree + presents = no sleep ... waiting for Santa ...
Never had the "American" X-mas ... a bit too late for that now though ... [points at melkimx with a walking cane ... dentures fall out ... flop!]
Talking about holidays ... things are getting very mixed up for me here ...
Tell me ... what's the difference between holidays for China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan? They're all different! It's driving me insane!!!
[Takes a shot of tequila ~~~]

BTW, all this talk about pictures on this thread ... haha ... [I'm still a total noob here ... cries in corner]

that's not fair! we don't even have the turkey, and we're a very catholic family. we dispense w/ the "fun" traditions but heaven forbid we skip mass on christmas eve and christmas.

i would like to see eli's pic, but i think he once wrote that he wouldn't post b/c if he did, we wouldn't think he's funny anymore. that must mean he doesn't look funny, which means he must look good. i would also really like to see becky's pics, and keri's, and sung's, and sarah's. i don't know what irc and av are, but sounds like the place to go to see famous soompiers revealed!

biggrin.gif Moms can be special too.

But I agree, it's a relaxing way to spend the weekend, just chilling out with someone, drinking red wine, enjoying the quiet of the night. Sigh.

Ben, orange juice can be romantic!
