I don't know why but I've been getting really dry skin on the bottom of both of my feet, you know the white bubbles here and there but with nothing inside? So I just poke them and pick them out, and now my feet looks so hideous with ripped dry skin (sounds disgusting). I remember seeing alot of dry skin on my grandpa's feet when I was young, too.

Why is this happening? I don't think the changing season is causing this but I don't know what else. Is it because I'm lacking some specific nutrients or vitamins inside my body? Is there something I do about it (eating some sort of food or put medications)?

Thanks sweatingbullets.gif

i would say go do a pedicure.a classic one where there's the massage and plucking of dead skin etc..worth it.=D

Apply moisturizing cream on your soles every night before you sleep?i think that helps too.smile.gif

ped egg....get one

they're at walgreens

get a pumice stone while you're at it. after you ped egg your feet...soak them for 10-15 minutes in really warm/almost hot water with salt in it. then pumice, dry, rub on baby oil.

baby oil is like nectar for dry feet.

having dry feet sucks.

Sounds like callouses, try a pumice stone and scrub away when in the shower. The moisture helps soften the skin and makes it easier for you to scrub off. smile.gif

Ugh I had really dry/torn heels about a month ago. I just put lotion on them every night and forced myself to stop picking at them. >>;;;;

Highly, highly recommend a pumice stone:
- Soak feet in warm/hot water for at least 15 minutes
- Allow it to dry a bit, but still be moist (if it's too wet or too dry, the stone won't work too well) and use the pumice stone to scrub your feet
- Scrub your feet like crazy! Honestly, I've done this and the skin just comes right off. Keep on scrubbing until you think all the dead skin is sloughed off and your feet are soft

Vaseline, Saran Wrap, + Socks:
- Slather your feet in vaseline and then wrap them in saran wrap
- Put on some socks to keep the wrap from slipping off and keep them like that overnight
- Wash off in the morning
*Be careful when walking! It can get slippery.

Good luck!

first get a pedicure and watch the steps that they do so u can also learn how to do it, then buy a heel stone that u can scrape the dead cells off, then buy some intensive moisturieser made especially for dry heels. here are some steps for a weekly pedicure. hope this helps

Basin or tub
Foot Soak, Epsom salt or bath salts
Pumice footstone
Small brush
Nail polish remover / cotton balls
Nail polish
Base coat for nails
Top coat for nails
Clippers
File
Orangewood stick (Cuticle stick)
Lotion
Foot scrub treatment
Whether you are in the mood to pamper yourself or just starting to get dolled up, a pedicure can be one of the most soothing and relaxing body treatments after a long day. If you find yourself surrounded by unavoidable stress factors day-to-day, wash your cares away with a pedicure! Just follow these easy steps:

Step 1: Begin to fill a basin (or your bathtub) with several inches of warm water. Add desired amount of foot soak, bath salts or Epsom salt so that it dissolves in the water as the tub fills.

Step 2: While the tub is filling, remove any old polish from your toes with nail polish remover and cotton balls. If necessary, clip and file nails to desired shape and length.

Step 3: Grab a good book or magazine, turn on some music, or just sit back and enjoy the warm water on your tired feet. Soak for as long as you like, but at least 5-10 minutes.

I just put lotion on it and it goes away after a few days!

Moisturize often so it doesn't happen again : )

Wear slippers in the house. The tiles (if u have them) dry your skin over time since its colder than your feet.
