LOL

OMG.

I couldn't read anymore, can't take anything you say seriously.

All Britney Spears is an overproduced, oversexed artist that makes generic, bad music that doesn't even sell to America anymore (her last album was a bad flop). To call her 'original' is really pushing the envelope.

And the reason nobody else isn't in the "game" like her? Because it's not selling anymore.

As much as I dislike Brit, her album didnt flop that badly considering the pirating issues these days

but I get what ur saying Brit is FFFAARRRR from original.

first off i can't wait for the full single, and album. the song is banging, very uptempo n danceable.

yea her timing is bad, as in who's making there combacks; Britney, Beyonce, Brandy, Ciara and Christina...but musically her timing couldnt have been better. pop music always does a full spin every decade, look at it since the late 70s beignning of 80s, when Michael Jackson was top of his game, mids 80s came the nu wave, glam hair metal and early hip hop sound, but by the end of the 80s early 90s dance pop with New Kids on the Block, Bobby Brown, Janet Jackson, and still MJ was back on the scene, then mid 90s came gangsta rap and grunge, then late 90s early 2000s dance pop once again return with NSync, BSB, B2K, Christina, Britney, Destiny's Child...and yet once again gangsta rap and emo/"The"/garage bands came mid 2000, until recently late 2000 with the return of those mentioned above, but then you have return of boybands like New Kids on the Block, New Edition, & Menudo, new artist like Lady Gaga, Kelli Crossley or Tami Chynn (depends on if she stays pop, like Frozen, rather than too reggae for her new album)...

sure theres alot of people coming out with that style but Boa also has SM's marketing machine, something Utada didnt with Exodus. and Boa will definatly play up the sex appeal, and her dancing is really unmatched by any artist, other than maybe Ciara.

again i cant wait for the album, i support Boa!

I will have to strongly disagree

Boa's dancing is some of the most half assed dancing I have ever seen I give her credit for trying hard though but Boa really can't dance that good and plus
although I don't think Beyonce is the best dancer out there her dancing will pwn Boa's

i think she should really improve her english, the only thing i could really understand was "eat you up" in the whole song
and the mv was cheap looking and her dancing is not that great unsure.gif
i wonder was LSM was thinking
she has to bring something new to the table

really... wow. well, to each, his own.

coming from a BoA fan, i don't think she'll hold up. i do love the song (the lyrics, not as much), but i mean, SM sent out rumors of her American debut like what? last year? that's hardly any time for the public, and BoA to adjust to this. i mean, she just had a tour in Japan and now she's going to release a single in America? and in a couple months, an album? i mean, that's just extremely bad timing. at least give her a couple months, heck even a year, to adjust to the American music industry and actually become fluent in English, though her english has improved tons since her last english song. that and the mv won't help her much. i mean, there's really no point in it. she's dancing and posing, unlike the one for Asia where she's actually part of a story.

No, I live in a place called Reality. I hope you'll come visit sometime. rolleyes.gif

There is really nothing original about mainstream music... the least person that could ever dream of possessing such is Britney Spears, who doesn't even produce/compose her own music. Her image is borrowed mainly from Madonna's and previous divas. She won 3 VMA's because the VMA's have become one joke and they used her for ratings. I doubt she will even sell 1 million in US of her next album, she failed to do so with her last.

laugh.gif Whoa, chill. It's just my opinion. From my point of view and preferences, I like the mainstream Kpop ballads and rock music, as well as Jpop. I just don't like American rap music, or cliche love songs, or songs about how a girl's body moves or something. But that doesn't mean I don't like all American songs - I still find a few I like. Generally though, I prefer Jpop and Kpop to American music.

But then again, this is just MY opinion. sweatingbullets.gif

Hah ! theres a ton of cliche love songs in kpop , how many PVs do I see where- the- girl- always -gets sick (or vice versa) and -dies- at- the- end kinda song. I aint hating that you like a certain genre more then others but I think its kinda pushing it thinking as if Kpop/Jpop is anymore original then American music considering they are highly influenced by American music.

Please dont even get me started on those songs "So hot" or "Tell me" .

Who ever said Eat You Up will make BoA mainstream?

BoA said herself she wants to start in the U.S as a rookie, a beginner singer.

BoA's first American album might flop, but BoA will just keep trying harder and harder.

Just because your debut album flopped doesn't mean it's over.

You can always release a 2nd or more album.

Many American artists had HORRIBLE debuts.

When BoA debuted in Japan, her singles did horrible! BoA's debut album did mediocre.

It took BoA around 2 years to become mainstream in Japan with VALENTI.

I don't live in the US but everything that happens there effects me immensely being that I'm in Canada.. You know, the elephant and the beaver..

Canada's represented by the beaver and the moose. mellow.gif Not elephants.

From the preview,I like the song but goshh. They should've switched the Korean version with the American version. The US version was baaaad, cheap and like god-awful hideous. I don't think anything is wrong with her image either, but I'm still not entirely sure if she'll be mediocre or top the charts. Or heck, even flop. (If she does flop, maybe there's a chance she will return to Korea yay!)

She's releasing EYU in Korea too right? It sounds very similar to DBSK's Mirotic and their mv was released today. Something about same producers, but honestly I do not think that's a great excuse. =A= Mhmm whatever...

Boa's dancing, in my opinion is really strong. I know in America, singers lip sync but if Boa sings while dancing at the same time, perhaps she'll gain some new fans. But she should work on her English (I didn't understand the US version) and vocals. Sometimes in lives, she sounds really nasal and it's >.<

Why is this in other music? It's not really "other" music..

Half assed? Really? How come you say that? Her routines are fierce, though I think I see where you're coming from. I've never seen her freestyle or dance without choreography. Meanwhile, Beyonce shakes it on stage ahahaha.

Nobody's listening to me.

Do you really think BoA and LSM are dumb enough to think that BoA will become mainstream the first try?

After 2 years of preparing, I'm sure BoA & LSM know that BoA's American debut album have a hihg possiblity of failing.

Who cares if BoA's debut album fails, LSM is totally supporting her, and she can always relase another English album.

Who ever said Eat You Up will make BoA mainstream?

Edit:

Look at Utada Hikaru - her American debut album FAILED.

But Utada's giving it a 2nd try this year - she's releasing another Americna album.

There's always a 2nd chance, specially for Utada and BoA - who's resume & company are willing enough to spend money in their projects.

Yeah, Boa counts her movements
you can tell in her head she's saying "1,2,3 1,2,3" she got better, but all she can rely on is choreo.

First off, You're ignorant.

Boa and Beyonce should never ever be mentioned in the same sentence. I don't care how hard she trains. She will never ever be on the same level as Beyonce.

So lets name some one who kinda kinda is. Britney.

Do Boa as a chance against Brit Brit? Thats the question.

unfortunately I don't think boa's offering the american entertainment industry anything special
her songs sound like every other pop song on the charts.
her dancing is good, but at the same time, america has it's fair share of incredible dancers

the only thing that's unique about her is the fact that she's asian. and the race factor can only take her so far..

I'm sorry, but I can't see her being very successful in the U.S. ph34r.gif

nope
if britney sweeping the vma's is any indication.. she's more popular than ever.
boa can't compete with that
head in the clouds~

okay.i do think BoA can't be compared to Britney.but i'll say give her some time to work in America and then see how.

Her english definitely improved alot but not enough to be called perfectly fluent. But i like the song and the choreography.Just that the America version of Mv isn't that impressive to capture people's attention.

i can only say i wish her all the best.smile.gif

i was intending to read a mature discussion and... didnt get what i hoped for. ._.
