I recently ordered a Samsung P2 which looks like this but in the wine red Louis Vuitton edition:

The question in mind is that does the battery life shorten when I charge even though the batteries are only used a little or half-way? I had an iPod nano (the first generation) and the shortening battery life never happened since iPod uses the lithium polymer batteries. I'm not sure if P2 is the same as iPod? If not, does it mean I'll have to finish the batteries every time I recharged?

It's the same thing. You can recharge it whenever you want. I've had the P2 for a year and it's fine.

Another thing that you might want to know is that you can only charge it through your computer, and if you leave it overnight plugged in, it'll gradually sap away at the battery because the screen will always be lighted up as long as it's plugged into the computer.

What..? My P2 screen doesn't light up. The screen turns off after a few seconds whether or not it is plugged in. However, the circle light in the bottom middle always flashes though.

I think in this day and age battery memory almost ceases to exist, and im 95% sure on something like teh P2 they wouldn't use outdated batteries.

I charge mine over night at times, and my P2 can last me more than a week.
