Thats about 75.4k miles.... the maintenance you should check for or you should do when you get the car is:
Oil change
Tranny fluid change
Coolant flush
Brake fluid change
Clutch Fluid change
Power Steering fluid change
Filters (Oil, Air, Fuel)
Spark plugs
Spark plug wires
Change brakelines
Brake pads
Timing belt in another say... +20,30k miles
Clutch when it wears out (only for manual)
Check all hoses
Get a compression test
Make sure it doesn't burn oil
Make sure it passed inspection
Check tire tread wear, check for bubbles
Check all bulbs/replace if they are out
Check for cracks in the lights (front head lamps, signal, fog, rear lamps)
Check for no fluids leaking
Check for tapping/funny buzzing/whiney noises/humming noises
Check CV boots to make sure no rips or tears.
Test drive it, drive it HARD, brake HARD, drive it slow to check for noises, take corners hard to check shocks, take corners softly to check for any other wierd noises.
and............. get a carfax to check for any previous accidents.
Thats about it! All that maintence above, if you do it yourself would cost you maybe... 300? 400? bucks (excluding the clutch and timing belt). If you get a mechanic to do it... prolly cost about double that, close to a grand for labor n such.

As long as you maintain it, it should run for at least another 120K.
My Volvo is currently at 201K Miles and its running fine and will run fine for a while to come. Take care of your car

75k miles is nuffin, just do the regular maintenance. I got 128k miles on my miata... 124k on my moms RL. Idk about the Miata, but the RL runs like the day we first got it.

Thats not so bad depending on the price that you are getting it for. My 87 Accord is on 250 000km and still running fine.
When you test drive - thrash it abit. If you know what to look for - bring a torch and go under the car and check it out.
You cant expect everything to be in tip top condition

Purchasing a car from someone whose idea of maintenance consists of only changing the oil is a bad idea. So it may depend. Mileage varies more by how it was treated and whether or not someone ran the piss out of it
