See You at the Pole™ is a student-initiated, student organized, and student-led event. That means this is all about students meeting at their school flagpole to pray—for their school, friends teachers, government, and their nation. See You at the Pole™ is not a demonstration, political rally, nor a stand for or against anything.
See You at the Pole™ is scheduled annually on the fourth Wednesday in September. The suggested starting time is 7 a.m. If that doesn't work for your school, choose a time that will work for your school, but let everyone at your school know!

So I was wondering if anyone here goes to SYATP.
Share your expierences or comments, opinions.. whatever~
I went my Freshman and Sophmore year.. (I'm currently a Junior)
It's interesting, you get a lot of comments from people because of it.
My friend once asked me, "Is that a cult meeting or something?"
I was like.. WHAT?! hahaha.

I'm surprised schools even do this.
I mean, "praying" has a religious connotation. Wouldn't that cause controversy in the school itself?

I wouldnt know where the flag pole on our campus is...
...but in high school we used to pray right when the bell rang to start school...it'd be kind of near the flag pole. the group was about 15 people...it wasnt really an organization, just by word of mouth.

It's totally legal and there's not much controversy over it.
