My computer just restarts itself even while I'm using the computer.
Afterwards, there's the report thing would pop up and say
'the system has recovered from serious ..?' something, i forgot.
So is there anything wrong with my computer? Help?

Uncheck automatically restart.

Hopefully it will tell us whats going on.
Or we can assume its heat... or other hardware issues but lets try that first.

Hopefully the next crash will result in a blue screen instead and you can share what the bluescreen says. That way we can try to figure out whats up with your computer happy.gif

Is there anything you do that causes the crash?

Oh okays. That thing happened again and this time it said the problem was from..

win32k.sys

And it was saying something about new hardrive or programs that hasn't been installed properly? Or something like that.

And not if this would help either.

Sorry, not sure if that's right.

Oops sorry.

Go to the Control Panel
Administrative Tools
Run the Event Viewer

See the red X? Click those and see if you can figure out whats going on.

I assume you didnt get a blue screen on your last crash, so the next time it crashes on you, and it restarts, click delete, F2, F10, or whatever it says to get into the bios.

There should be a hardware monitor somewhere in the bios. Check out your temperatures and voltages. Tell us if anything changes a lot or looks different. If you arent keen on going into your bios, google for SpeeedFan that will also tell you your temperatures and voltages that might be causing your crahses.

I've had about four crashes this month, and I did what you said..my monitor turned blue and every problem was different?

& for the event viewer..
The red ex's were mostly--True Vector Service
and I also have some warnings and it says--userenv

& also, I have no idea how to use that SpeedFan thing .. and I have no idea what to do. My comp's also lagging..so yeah.

I really need the help so, help?

THANKS =DD

Microsoft admits it has a software glitch that occurs on Win-XP home and Professional edition. http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=329052

Uninstall Zone Alarm, get a fresh copy from the internet and reinstall.

Do you remember the last software that you installed before you had this problem?
Sometimes the problem is a corrupt internet download.
Uninstall and reinstall the last program before you had these problems. If you
downloaded the program from the internet, get a fresh copy from another site if
possible and uninstall the old software from you computer, reboot to update the
windows registry and then reinstall the fresh copy.

Uncontrolled computer restarts. Let me whip put my six thousand mile long screwdriver and lets see
what the problem might be.

Awdark suggested CPU or motherboard cooking.

Sometimes restarts can be caused by overheating CPU or motherboard, glitches in the AC power line or a bad power supply. When was the last time the computer was opened up to clean out the bit bucket and dust balls? Do you have a line conditioner and UPS or do you have an Automatic voltage regulating UPS(AVR UPS)?
