in middle school (8th grade), i completely forgot to write my first draft of an essay, and a couple of other kids forgot, as well.
so for those who forgot our essays, we got detention. =(


and I remember in middle school, for some CRAZY reason, we weren't allowed to go to our lockers between our classes (we had block scheduling, so we only had four classes a day), meaning we had to carry our books ALL DAY until lunch time @_@. Anyway, my friend went to her locker in between classes, and she got detention for that. Stupid middle school. So glad I'm in college now.

i've never gotten detention but my friend got a referal in the 8th grade for..getting up to wash her hands lol.

I got detention because I went to my friend's funeral (R.I.P. ) and i forgot to bring in an admit slip!


my school is cruel...we had like....at least 100 students in detention that same day for the same reason..then i got another one because i forgot my ID....stupid stupid reasons ;


I'm just glad I'm not a guy because they get in school suspension for not shaving....

i came to school LITERALLY not even two minutes after the siren for class. i thought, being an honest individual, id go to student services and just get a late pass in case. i ended up waiting for 15 minutes while my year coord pinkberryed at me and gave me a half hour detention.

i've never got detention for a stupid reason. LOL it was a pretty good reason. but i remember a few of my friends used to get detention for not having a belt. ; or some girls get detention for wearing 'shorts' when it's not a friday (our school considers capris shorts0 -__________-

one time in jr. high, our main homeroom class had this thing where our teacher said whoever comes first to class gets a prize or something special, so one time i came 2nd to this other person, & i yelled out..
"ohh shoot!" my teachers said, "what? ok.. you have detention for what you just said"

LOL, my teacher probably heard the 'S' word, but i was like.. "uhh i didn't say that word, i said Shoot"
but i still got it, i didnt feel like arguing, detention wa only like 5 minutes anyway.

I never got detention, I only got suspended lol.

1. For talking 5 minutes in the past.

Me and my friend were talking after we finished our finals
(We had already handed them in so it's not like we could have cheated)
Other people we're talking and she's like... "The next person who talks
gets sent out" So someone else talks, and she calls an admin, to come and get
them. Then when the admin asks if anyone else need to be sent out, she tells me
to get out because I was talking before. I was like... "What the john tesh, I wasn't talking", and she's
like "That's going on your write up too" so I said "john tesh, mini cooper, Ass, pinkberry, you can add that to my
write up too" Yea... I got suspended for 3 days lol.
(I promise I don't curse like this anymore ()*)

2. For texting during class.

This one was ridiculous, becuase at the time, I didn't even have a cellphone,
but my teacher was convinced that I had hidden it, or passed it to someone...

for yawning out loud.. (like the yawn when your ready for someone to shut up so you can leave)... but i really didnt yawn like that because of that.. i was just really sleepy. that was when i was in 8th grade i think.

oh yeah... and for laughing out loud (my teacher made a joke she thought was funny.. and i did a really dramatic sarcastic laugh.. and got detention for it) i think i was in 12th grade then...
well at least i made everyone else smile/laugh for it ^^

detention was always fun tho.. we'd have to clean up the lunchroom.. so we would play food hockey with the brooms and apples and dust pans

in 1st grade my mean old stupid teacher put me on time out from reccess because I didn't wanna eat my tots at lunch!! and it sucked really badly cuz i wanted to climb the monkey bars really badly cuz I was practicing all day the previous day!!

LMAO u guys r funny. I personally never had detention before but one time in sophmore year I ALMOST did!

So I was in 5th hour (Our school has 7 periods) and I was in B lunch so that meant that I had half of 5th hour, goto lunch, then go back for the other half.
While in that class I put my hands in my pocket and I was like WHAT the!?!? My keys for my car were gone! So I was freaking out now I am supposed to get home
I told my friends and they are like, maybe you left it in your car?
I guess apparently you are not allowed to leave the school during lunch time or anything without a pass but I'm like well... I am just going to my car so oh well
Later I found out you cant even goto your car ( it is considered skipping school)
So after lunch I went outside.
One thing I HATED was that I parked prob half a mile away because I could not park in the main lot at that time (I was a sophmore) and you had to be a Junior or Senior to buy the parking passes for the main lot
I was in sophmore lane where you basicly park on the side of this one road that is FAR away from the school.
Oh yeah I 4got to mention it was January in Minnesota so it was snowing heavily outside it was like 20 F and I am here running to my car that is far away and my feet got frozen ( I was wearing tennis shoes. Never wear boots!)
I got to my car and found my key still in the ignition!! Luckily my car does not locks its doors if the key is in the ignition. (Luckily no one stole my car)
So I ran all the way back and there is this security dude at the front.
Some people were walking in at the same time as me so I walked in with them and the security guy was like "where are you guys from?"
They said they had some field trip
So he let us go and then I quickly ran back to lunch!

well, i was in 7th grade. i was this new kid in school.
and i didn't know we couldn't eat at the quad (hangout area) and so i digged into my backpack and started eating.
this one lady was like "hey you! throw that in the trash can!" i didn't throw it away cuz it's wasting food and my parent's money. so i hid it. then the lady was like "what's your name?" i gave her my name and i got a detention slip the next day so i had to sweep the eating area during lunch. i was gonna ditch the detention but i didn't want to risk ruining my perfect record

WTF.
