In the fourth grade, I got a dentention because I was wearing the wrong dress code (I wore a shirt, but it had to have collars). What I found so funny was that it was the first day of school, and I just moved there! I was crying at the end of school, but I didn't get in trouble though. But still, I found that a ridiculous reason to get a detention.

I guess mine doesn't really qualify since I was only in there
for like 20 minutes and it didn't go on my record.

It was the beginning of the school year and one day they had announced
the school dress code. That same day, they rounded up all the kids that
broke the rules and sent them to ISS until their parents could come and
bring them a change of clothes. So gay! They had JUST told us the dress
code that freaking day! I was wearing jeans from A&F that had a couple
"holes" in them except they weren't really holes since you can't even see
skin. I was about to hit someone since my friend was wearing the same jeans
and didn't get in trouble, but later she came into the office too

in fifth grade, my friends and i decided to skip lunch, as in not get in those lines and eat lunch.
we all got caught but they all somehow got away with it and i was the only one that got detention.

this was my first and only detention ever and it still ticks me off till this day!!! although it was just a lunch detention.. sit and have lunch with the t.a. anywho.. i forgot my book for my 8th grade history class.. my locker was right outside the door so i walked out, grabbed it, and came back in.. i stepped into the classroom right when the bell went off.. i guess my teacher was pissy that day.. hes usually soo cool.. so he gave me lunch detention.. honestly i think he just gave it to me to give it to me..

my freshmen year of highschool, my family moved to a new town that was only 15 minutes away from our old home.. on my last day i was notified by the office that i had to pack up my stuff from my locker, etc. my sister didnt transfer schools with us until the following semester.. she calls me the following day and said that she went to school and they called my name down to the office.. my sister was like "wth? she doesnt go here anymore" so later taht day they called her down to the office to tell her that i skipped school that day hahahah LOL so funnie.. she had to remind them that i transferred

when i got a detention..it was always for the same reasons..for laughing..i got detentions for being happy..since when was that a crime..

For calling my teacher by her first name rather than Mrs.Do...it was, "disrespectful".
I don't even know her first name!~
Her name is Connie and I was asking her, "Can I go to the restroom?"
But I guess I said Can I like Connie...=.=

Oh and once because I GRADED A MATH TEST WRONG, BY LIKE 3%!!!
It's not like I changed her grade from a 3 to a 2!!!

I got a "TIME OUT" for sharpening my pencil when the teacher was talking..I WAS SHARPENING USING THE SMALL ONE THAT DON'T MAKE NOISES, NOT THE BIG MECHANICAL ONES!!


oooohh ooh i remember another one now.
it was during music time and i was in pre-k or kindergarden.
this guy said SHUT UP and i wanted to keep the class quiet since the teacher was out so i said shut up thinking it mean quite down (in a ncie way) and the guy and i got in trouble TT.TT i TOLD THE TEACHER i didn't know what shut up meant and she said shut up to me...

In 4th grade, I quietly asked the kid next to me to get my pencil that rolled under his desk. We both got a "red slips" (two means a detention). It was like the first time I got in trouble..and somehow everyone in 4th grade found out about it and all the kids were like, "omg YOU got a red slip?!!!"

And then 5th grade we had to bring in music for something, but I didn't have any CDs because my parents didn't buy me them. So my dad wrote a note explaining the situation.. but my teacher was like "NO EVERYONE HAS MUSIC!!" and gave me my first and only ever detention. My dad ended up having to waste money just for her stupid assignment.

Back in Highschool.

I got detention. I do remember why.

But I wonder if they wanted me to feel and think that I did bad.

Or it was just a minor reason.

They were really anal about everything, so I wouldn't be surprised.

That had an awfully odd way of showing how to discipline and be stringent about almost everything.

not detention but i had to stand by the wall during recess (it was elementary) because some of my classmates decided to run through the garden. Im over the having to stand by the wall during recess part (it was humiliating at the time because I was a good kid) but the office lady who accused me of doing it, idk, maybe she was just a liar!! or maybe it's because she though that all asian kids look alike so she she couldn't tell which kid did it and which didn't so it was easier to just accuse all of us. I felt so helpless because I had no way of proving my innocence. It was the office lady's words against mine. Never got detention but being penalized by missing out on recess is close enough.

i never got detention.
but in elementary school i had 'bench time' because i had to use the bathroom.
so during lunch i went sat on the bench and this girl came over to me, i told her not to talk to me because im not allowed to talk.
then when class started again my teacher yelled at me for talking during my 'bench time' T.T

Apparantly to her, I wasn't "paying attention" because I was drinking.

also got another detention (on the same day) because this guy gave me his sheet for this asesment thing and the guy told the teacher I found it in the rubbish bin ! =__________________=" never talked to him again xD

I never got detention Teachers love me. The plan is to be nice and hardworking the first two semesters, then halfway through the teachers already love you, then... do whatever you want and the teacher will just blame it on the other kids.. it works all the time. But one time I got a time out for attempting to climb a fence -____-
