I got a detention in kindergarten. This other boy and I were playing on the jungle gym and he was in my way so I bumped him slightly to get to the top. He starts getting all angry and tells the teacher on me. It WASN'T like I PUSHED him into the ground or anything.

Strangely enough we're still friends and I joke around with him saying he was the pansy that couldn't handle a girl in kindergarten lol

6th grade i was eating lunch and i felt like getting ice cream. so i left my lunch (UNEATEN) and when i got my ice cream a teacher came up to me and gave me detention for not throwing away my (uneaten) trash so i was suppose to throw away uneaten food to go somewhere with9out getting a detention...califronia, go figure

I accidentally took a book from the library without checking it out in 2nd grade and the librarian thought I was stealing it, so I got detention after school for a week = =

It was some time during those San Diego fires and my teacher was really stressed because her daughter was living there.

So one day my friend who was sitting in front of me kicked some guy sitting next to her, I laughed out loud while she was taking role and she asked me why I was laughing. I just told her because something was funny. She took that as being sassy and told me to go stand outside and to remember to go to detention that day.

I got detention because I laughed. And I was a senior in high school. How pathetically stupid is that?

I asked my teacher if I could go out to use the bathroom during class, and she asked me if I finished my class work.
I told her "not yet" and she said I couldn't go.
Then I told her "I'm almost done with my work. I can complete it after i finish peeing"
then she gave me 2 hours of detention when school ended. -____-;

At my middle school, we got detentions for the dumbest things

for example:
no gum...if you were found chewing gum, detention.
not having a red pen in class.
My friend got one during silent reading because she finished her book and didn't have another one prepared to read.

Also once in math my teacher said to check and consult answers with peers before asking him and when I was checking with my friend, he was like "NO TALKING... DETENTION!!"...da f***?

I guess this isn't stupid but I had to write an essay paper becaused I kicked a guy. It's not my fault that he was going to write a story about how horrible I am just beacuse I didn't think he was funny.

in Secondary School, I went behind the gym, some guys keep yelling that I was smoking in the back of the gym.
Excuse me, how can I smoke when I'm allergic to it? ARGH!!!

second time, when I was up at the school's office asking for some stuff with a class mate.
some other classmates were smoking in class, and when the language teacher came back she asked what it was. I said Idk, smokes? but I haven't been there.

Still got DETENTION!

Me and my friend was whispering to each other when the principal was talking on the PA system.
But then EVERYONE ELSE WAS FREAKIN TALKING SO LOUD, AND ME AND MY FRIEND WERE JUST WHISPERING. SHEEESH. LOL, probably because everyone at my school didn't like that teacher as a teacher (: cause of his stupid detention reasons.

it was in 8th grade and it was first time and day at that school.
all I did was I walk out of the wrong door after PE. I didn't even know we weren't suppose to go out the way we came in.

gawd, i was so pissed off. my first and last detention ever.

When i was trying to teach her, she kept talking/playing around with another friend.

In the end she failed the test.
I got an hour's worth of detention; she got off scott-free. >:[

Once, I had to go sit in the principal's office all morning because apparently i came to school too early ....

in our elementary people loved to come early to talk to others & just run around in the classrooms, but too many people came & there weren't enough staff to watch over us, so they sent out a notice telling parents not to drop us off so early. maybe you were just at there at the wrong time.

got a detention for running into class less than second after the bell rang. at least all i did was wait in the classroom until my teacher said i could go.

There have been those ridiculous "class detentions" where one person said something too loud during a lesson and the whole 30-person class had to stay after school (and mind you, this was in elementary school where most of us were still being picked up by our parents or a school bus, which makes it really unfair to those people as well).

And there has been this one time when this guy in my class (elementary school, again) stole my pencil case. He was an infamous troublemaker, the kind who like, had his own chair in the VP's office. But anyway, I got pissed, and I started yelling him, and I said something like "don't make me resort to violence -.-". I grabbed his arm to try and get my pencil case. It just so happened that I had really long nails, so ANYTHING I grabbed, my nails would touch them. But anyway, the teacher kicked the boy out of the class and sent him to the VP 'cause he was the one who instigated, and I was just pissed.

Then that kid tells the VP that I attacked him and dug my nails into his arm. The VP comes to me--a straight-A student that, despite my lack of sucking-up, all my teachers are fond of--and starts yelling at me and made me call home to tell my parents so they can have a "discussion". He asked me how I grabbed his arm and I showed him, and he said "so you were using your nails!" when I clearly wasn't

Anyway, I heard that man got fired. =.=;

AHA ME TOO, i got liike soo manny detentions because of that.
i remember this one teacher i had in grade 6, if you were chewing gum during class she make you stick your gum on your forehead and everyone would laugh at you. *PHEW* lucky , i didnt get caught with my gum!! but this other girl did .. and i laughed my ass off .. LOL
