Our family are focusing more on saving rather than spending a lot more. And it is tough to save... because now everything is so expensive. But I'm trying to eat at home more, go out less. So that helps a bit.
Funny angrymidget.

We had to cut down our groceries by a lot by just buying only what we need and what is on sale. Basically, we are just saving whatever money we can and cutting down the expenses of whatever we don't need that is a luxury.

I'm having a great time. I have spent all my life living well under my means and finally it's paying off. I even got a crappy unit instead of a nice house rather than max my self out on a mortgage, and I still drive my first car (even though it's in good condition, it's still 14 years old). Good choice that turned out to be. Anyway it's funny watching every one squirm around while I sit here and laugh at them. I have 4 job options available to me, and 3 of them are in fields that are not effected by economic up or down turns.
Anyway, I'm pretty happy about the whole thing because now it will force a lot of people in to living much more modestly.

We're not so affected yet here in Australia and I've been spending more, but still saving. Recently purchased an apartment and advancing my career. Parents let me use the family cars but I only use them on weekends.
Cost of living has slightly increased but my salary has too.
As always, we want more, so I want more. Looking forward to my next pay rise or promotion, if not, I've got other opportunities.

The economic crisis hasn't had a significant effect on my life yet. One thing it has propelled me to do is to call and e-mail my local Congressman and Senators to vote against this bailout plan. Looks like punching a few numbers and bit of b!tching did the job, for now at least.
