I was trying to update playlist for my Ipod.
I connect the cable and my ipod even when it said " do not disconnect" for 30 minutes.
I removed it because it usually doesn't take this long.
Then the display got stuck on " do not disconnect".
I tried reconeccting it but it didn't do anything..
I tried holding the menu and center buttons for 6 seconds and nothing happened...the battery wont go down either..
I'm annoyed and worried..

An Apple specialist told me to send the Ipod to www.iresq.com and let them take a look.
What if I send it and they end up saying it can't be fix or the cost will be close to $100 ph34r.gif
What should I do? I would buy a new one since this is almost 1 year old but I like the 5th Generation Ipod.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!

You probably should not have unplugged it in the first place ^^v

I used to have 5th generation. Recently bought just the updated classic version. Nearly the same from 5-6 generation in classic~
Try restarting your ipod again, holding it for more than 6 seconds. Sometimes it takes this long for me too. You should feel a click in the back of the ipod, restarting itself.
Hold it for a long time.
If this still doesn't work, plug your ipod into itunes, and allow it to see for sometme. It may want to work out a few things or its possible it needs to further update itself?? This I'm unsure, because I never disconnected before it allowed me to.

Third, the battery will have to go out EVENTUALLY. Let it just die out, then plug it in and charge again. If It's still not working, then the screen once plugged in will turn to the sick screen (On my 5th generation, it was something like an ipod with crossed out eyes and it will say seek further assitance. XD I once had to send mine and get it replaced) and the you know you must send it in.
Otherwise theres almost no possibility for it to stay stuck on a screen.

Daannng don't you have at least 1 year warrenty?? XD

Was your computer able to detect your ipod after you reconnect it? If so, you can try restoring it to manufacturer settings using itunes.

I would just wait and see if the battery will actually die out, it has to eventually if it's on. I had a problem like this a while back with one of my older Ipods. I just let the battery run out even though it didn't seem like it was dieing out, but it has to sooner or later.

Thanks for everyone suggestion. I think I'll just let it run out of battery then.
I tried to connect it again but the Itune said it need reformat
And Itune was never be able to detect the Ipod.
It was working fine a few days ago.
There's no warranty since I bought it online.
And the previous owner probably got it a while ago.
It was brand new in box when I got it.
I like the 5th Generation so when I lost my other one, I looked for this online.

That doesnt always have to be the ipod's fault.. they could have recommended reset and restore...
