If you're trying to build up credit -- any major bank is fine, just be sure to make the monthly payments OR once you buy something, pay it off immediately and you'll start developing credit. Which is a good thing down the road if you want to buy a car, house or anything major.
If you're trying to pay off stuff, I'm not too sure on what bank you should go with. I have Wells Fargo and Navy Federal Credit Union. They're both really good when it comes to rates I think.

i'm with bank of america and signed up for a student credit card.
(they won't let you start off with a real one until you build up some credit.)
i'm not going to lie, it's tempting to spend more than you can pay off, so be careful.

I'm a million pieces, figure me out.

they won't charge you interest on late payment for your 1st year. plus they send you email notices when it's time to repay your balance.
no rewards or anything like that, but overall it's pretty hassle-free and easy to manage.
and for those who aren't using credit cards... good luck later in life! using a credit card responsibly is not difficult at all.

you just have to use the credit card responsibility and know whats in your checking account; if not, theyll charge you an overdraft fee for not having the funds in your checking account when bill time rolls around. a credit cards really nice to have. ive had my chase visa for about 2 years, and ive earned about $200 worth of free gas cards <3
