My Pinky Is Swollen T_t

Yesterday during P.E. I was playing ultimate football, and when the ball was thrown at me, I guess my pinky got the worst of it T_T
It's swollen (the width is like the same size as my ring finger - -) and a little bit of my hand is bruised too.
Besides putting ice on it, what else can I do to make the swelling go down?

Take an anti-inflammatory. Something like ibofuren.
I believe advil has it incorporated into their painkiller.

dude....emergency room or something. better to get it checked out than sit on it and have something messed up happen and you lose the finger.
i mean what if you screwed something up....like a tendon or something....you don't have too long to have that fixed before it's just not possible anymore...and then what? you lose the use of a finger.
just get it checked out.

applications.
your pinky. one of the phalanges. it is made up of 3 bones. the outermost one, the middle one, and the one closest to your knuckles.
any portion of the original bone should not bend. should it bend, you probably have a fracture.
now for the joints. extend your pinky normally, using the muscles in your hand. your pinky should be straight.
now to test the joints further. use your other hand and try and bend back the outermost part of the pinky. if it resists after a considerable amount of force, it should be good (note that it will extend a bit more than 180degrees). if you feel anything abnormal, like if it bends unusually much (although some people can do it, it will be based on YOUR normal conditions) then maaaaaybe your joint is messed up there.
the second joint: the one between the middle bone and the one closest to your knuckles. these shouldnt extend further than 180degrees. at least that i'm aware of.
there are ligaments that resist abnormal movements at the joints. stretch it too much and they will snap like tight elastics and lol.
just go check it up to be safe.
is the pinky just swelling or both swelling and hurts when you touch it?
in any case, if it persists you should go check it up.
lol.
(hope it helps T_T)

thanks for the replies you guys
^i did everything you wrote, and i think my pinky is fine?
it's still swollen, but it doesn't hurt to like stretch it anymore, so i'm pretty thankful about that.
when i give a little bit of force and press on my pinky, it just feels like when you push on a bruise (if that makes sense?)
but i think i'm gonna be fine XD
i hope it'll go away soon ):

well if you think its getting better and does not require medical attention, then it should be fine.
the human body is amazing at recovery.
maybe you just had some internal bleeding

I jammed my finger playing softball 2 months ago ... my finger still hurts when I bend it a certain way. However the swelling has gone down & I've regained full range of movement for the most part. As long as you can move it nothing is broken. Just ice and keep off of it. -___- I made mine worse since I kept playing softball every week after the injury.
