Well my opinion, in response to this thread title:

If you think that way I don't think it's true love. I think if you look for
someone to love just because you want to love someone, then you're just
looking for someone to satisfy your sense of emptiness. It's not true love.
But you can make yourself feel that way. Just my 2 cents =P

im sure out of 6billion ppl there can't just be one person that is ur "soulmate" ( divide that number by age group, some random preferences , geographical barriers and im sure ur left than more than a handful of potential ppl)

hahah sorry for being so skeptical. anyway in my terms, i have still a small set of standards of who i wouldn't want to hook up with and this isn't just about looks either. I won't pick the top but i won't just go for randoms who may like me because they always turn out to be annoying, clingy guys.

although it most likely wont work out, it may not always end in regrets. You could have fun in a hook up/rebound relationship and not regret it at all when it ends. cant expect it to last forever.

Guess it just depends on what kind of 'love' you're looking for. Yeah, if it's just a hookup/rebound sorta thing then I guess your standards would be lowered, but if it were something long term then (for me) I wouldn't lower my standards as much just because i've been hurt. I guess i would STILL lower it....but...yeah..not much

honestly, if you cant find anyone you love right now then forget about love [for the moment]. there are other priorities in life, once you actually fall in love theres usually quite a bit to sacrifice..
