Billed as the Takumi concept, the car shown at the STI booth at the event was aesthetically similar to the Impreza WRX STI model currently sold in Japan, however it featured a tweaked drivetrain, upgraded springs, shock absorbers and links, all of which are hallmarks of the hardcore Spec C variant of the Impreza WRX STI. Additionally, the wheels shown on the concept are suspiciously similar to the 12-spoke rims seen in spy shots of the Spec C at the Nurburgring, strengthening the case of the Takumi being a precursor to the production Spec C variant.

- Widebody (I love the flares)
- Fits 275 width tires on all 4 corners (even stock comes with 235)
- Navi
- Low/high boost modes
- Matching gauge cluster/HVAC lighting
- Less harsh suspension (no bobble head)
- Quieter
- Etc...

It was a non STI. It was a straight WRX RA, which started production in 1992. The owner is actually a founder of one of many JDM enthusiast owners trying to keep imports legal in Canada. Ever since he started it up, lots of people from my city have been importing early model WRX's, eventually STI's. Lots of pics and such here: JDMVIP.com

Ah i see, i was under the impression that it was the STI version. But it's cool how Canada is similar to United Kingdom where you could imports JDM cars in. I checked out the site and Canada requirement is 15 yrs old. This year Canadians could get R32
GL on getting the 15 yr rule revoke, they should reduce it to 10 yrs instead.
thanks

that's a Type R STi...even though it has a 22B front bumper, which I find odd.

Version 5 and 6 are similar with the exception of the spoiler (V6 is taller and has extra lip). V5 type R don't have the painted color coded matching body parts (handles, mirrors, etc) and it has roof vent. (so it's not Version 5) It's definitely STI Version 6, i'm just not sure if it's type R( if the rear brakes have 2 pots then it's def. type R) I only watch the anime so someone who read the manga might correct me on this.
