Banh bot chien is a fried savoury rice flour cake mashed up with an egg
and served over a bed of shredded raddish
with a smattering of spring onions and a soy sauce dip.

They're very good. I tried to make it once and it was a big disaster. sweatingbullets.gif It's especially good when it is warm and the rice flour cake is crispy. The best part is dipping it in sweet soy sauce.

^ my mom just makes it from a bag of flour especially for that.
then she just cooks it slightly in a pot with water and oil.
then she just puts it in the oven and bakes it laugh.gif
it still tastes good.
Sometimes she fails though, like it'll be way too soft.
I like it kinda chewy O.o

I just had it yesterday... or was it the other day. But it's good. <3 I like it better when my mom makes it though (the dough is already made though - we just buy it from the market). Banh bot chien + soy sauce + Huey Fong Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce = yummy.
