Since it's been more than 10 years since I've seen her, she didn't know what I like so she bought me an iTouch.. initally 8GB but she upgraded it to 16GB because she read my brother's mind, lol (oh she bought him one too)
The problem is I don't need an iTouch.. I actually find it quite useless since I already have a Sansa mp3 I really like, and 2 GB is enough for me
and I have no need to watch videos/checkemail/youtube wherever I go o_o; I have a new laptop that I frequently use for those functions.
I'm not really fond of Apple anyway cause I used to have a Mini and it started defunctioning in a couple of months.
I thought about selling it out, but then I'd feel really terrible because it's such an expensive gift >__<; But there are so many other things I want to buy with the money x___x;
I mean, what would I say if auntie asked me how I like the iTouch, if she didn't know i sold it out already? =/ I'd probably die of guilt.
Has this ever happened to you? I know Apple products are probably the #1 best gift idea for anyone of any age.. AM I THE ONLY PERSON WHO WOULDN'T WANT ONE AS A GIFT? T___T

I usually do that when I receive gifts that I really appreciate but can't seem to find a use for them.

i'd just keep it and let it sit there, let a friend borrow it or something. don't sell it--you'd feel really bad when auntie comes again.

Just be thankful - I'm sure many people would love to have an iTouch. If you really don't want it, you could just pretend you never got it.. I'm sure 150 dollars less won't kill you =]

It fits in the pocket (unlike a laptop) and it could have way more useful and fun options than the default (if you know how to hack it).
It's a very nice gadget and 16GB is quite a lot of space to store so many files and applications.
Better have it than nothing. Selling a gift is not so polite... Unless you tell the person and give convincing reasons why you wanna sell it...
My uncle gave me a new sexy modified sport car but it was a manual car and I didn't know how to drive manually at that time... I found it useless... I could keep driving my old automatic car but my uncle and friends forced me to sell that one and go for the sport car... "You should know how to drive manually to be a cool looking driver!"...
After all, it's not bad at all... until I get older, I may stick back to automatic transmission again...
If I were selling that car, even though I'd get no less than 30 000 bucks in return, would piss my uncle off to the fullest... It was a gift but just imagine what I could do with that money...

My name is NPB, I live in an igloo, I eat pancakes with maple syrup, I own a beaver, I don't like Justin Bieber, I ride a female moose to work and I'm Asian
. Eh. I'm a Poutine-Eater.

if not give it to your brother..

yeah don't sell it, she'll be hurt if she found out
but just tell her, that she doesn't need to buy you more expensive presents in the future
and use it as a storage space if you really don't want to use it for its functions
and well my parents bought me a house for my 18th, but i think it's sort of their excuse for an investment property............lol
i love the house and everything, but i didn't need it for my 18th........lol

I find it quite useless.
But you shouldnt sell it away.
Anyway, the most expensive gift I got was a 30GB iPod Video.
I wanted it at first, but now I dislike it very much. D:
-hates Apple now-

i wouldn't want one.
i'm not interested in trying to deal with itunes...
what i suggest you do is put some videos on it and use it sometimes.
if your brother doesn't have one, and he wants yours, let him use it.
that way you can tell your aunt that you are sharing it with your brother because you already have an mp3 player and he doesn't.
