Ok ive been using my dads comp cause mine is broken but hes goin on business trips so i won have a computer and i need it for school and stuff. I had a vaio computer for a couple years now. Its a good computer and stuff but its broken. A while ago, it just kept shutting itself down after a few minutes. Then one day i kept working again. Then about a motn hago i was using it and it just randomly shut down. I turned it on again but it kept shutting down. So i used the recovery disks and during the recovery process it shut down so that didnt work. Since i was in the recovery process the nothign works a black screen with numbers comes on and thats it. i can put in the recovery disk again to restroe everything but it keeps shutting off. What should i do??HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPP

Desktop or laptop?
If its a desktop, open it up and get a can of air to cleanout the insides.. especially the fan.
if its a laptop, I don't recommend opening it but thats most likely the best way to get it really clean. Short of taking it apart, you can just spray the vents with a can of air and hopefully dust will shoot out
Yes, based on your symptoms I would guess your computer is overheating. The fact that it crashed during a recovery shows that its nothing related to windows and most likely the attack of the dust bunnies!
