Just wondering what you guys think about a senior guy taking a freshman girl to prom.
Some of my friends think it's totally wrong and pedophilic.
While others think it's fine.

So what about you? If you were a freshman and got asked out by a senior to prom would you go?

In my country only people in the grade of that school can go to the formals (like proms).

That's the best way biggrin.gif

I don't know, going on the basis of him being a senior doesn't sound like the right thing to do. Expect to have sex with him afterwards, I heard that often happens :s

But I may be wrong!

Thats not pedophilic at all.... I figure that if you date you should be thinking of marriage. Married couples don't find being 4 years apart "pedophilic" I almost asked a freshman to prom.

I have a couple of friends that went to prom as freshman with seniors. They were just going for fun as friends. It wasn't and shouldn't be a big deal.

What's wrong with you?

Married people are generally OLDER than teenagers.

You develop much more through your teenage years than and time after that. So, if it's an 18 year old with a 14 year old, there's some problems. I don't care what anyone says about me dating a 25 year old when I'm 17, in my country you're an adult at 18 anyways. And I'm a male and younger, so she's not taking advantage of me (much more likely to be taking advantage if the guys are older). I know I have much growing up to do, I'm not saying I'm better than anyone else, but the only reason I've been able to date significantly older girls is because I am naturally somewhat mature. How I act on these forums is different to how I act in 'real life'.

After a few drinks, how can a 14/15 year old girl say no to an 18 year old or whatever? Risky.

Yeah, but they were friends. Not a random guy that most probably couldn't get a date with any girl his age for a reason.

I don't think there's anything wrong with it, seeing as my boyfriend's three years older than me...
If the girl was in middle school, then that's questionable.

i don't think it's weird at all. It's not like if you guys are dating/ in a relationship.
Who cares about what your friends think. Their probably just jealous that they can't get a senior to take them.

I went to the senior prom every year of high school.

God, I want to dream again. Take me somewhere I've never been. This time I'm not scared. facebook

I don't see anything wrong with that. People take others that are in lower grades all the time.

I think it's sad that you can't even celebrate your graduation with your peers, and you have to get some practically prepubescent kid to tag along. (The prom is soon before graduation, right?)

That's 'coo' as XenosbioZ very wisely stated.
