I went to homecoming last night and it was kinda fun. I danced with a lot of different people, but by the end of the night I felt weird and a little grossed out that I had danced with people that I probably sit next to in my classes. At least at Bayfunktion [a big party/club event in the bay area] you don't know the people and you know that you'll never see them again. Also, if you don't wanna dance with someone you don't have to worry about seeing them the next day at school and being like: Sorry I didn't dance with you :/

Anyway, I've decided that at school dances I'm gonna dance with who I WANT to dance with instead of just dancing with that person b/c I feel rude if I don't dance with them. So, I'm just gonna start walking away from anyone I don't want to dance with or flat out saying NO lol.

not only that, but honestly, what else would you do at a school dance?
you don't NEED to be grinding on each other - as long as you're comfortable with the person, it'll be fine.
you're idea is pretty much the best way to go; it's common sense. if you don't want to dance with someone, walk away. or you could just dance with them for a few minutes and leave (that's what i usually do) - i claim that i need fresh air.

lol, this is done every single year when it gets close to Homecoming/post-Homecoming but i dunno, i'm guilty of doing it :/ but i always went with a date, and I always danced with my date... so, uh i guess it was never unwanted freak dancing? LOL since then, even at college parties, i don't do it -.- i just think it looks dumb

i haven't been to a school dance since freshman year HC. i remember watching other people freaking. it was funny. i don't do it. i prefer to dance awkwardly with my awkward group of friends. but i don't have any negative opinions on it. it's not a big deal.

I actually don't mind freak dancing. I think it's fun, and I don't do it because I'm horny, but because as I have just stated, it really is fun.

Yeah I do it. I really tone it down though at school dances cause these are people i know and will see in the future. I remember once though it was a club dance thing and these people were from different schools. I dont know why, music and dark lighting kinda made me go nuts for a while and I really went loose. REALLY. Now that I think about it, im really embarassed and grossed out. Yeah it wasn't classy of me at all. So don't worry Im right there with you but hey if I had fun AND got a good work out that night even if I feel disgusted now, I don't think its something I will regret and you shouldn't either. Just watch your behavior more next time. =)
