BLACK KIDS

"Black Kids is a American indie rock band from Jacksonville, Florida, fronted by singer/songwriter Reggie Youngblood. The band's debut EP, Wizard of Ahhhs, was released to critical acclaim in 2007 and was followed by the Partie Traumatic album, which debuted at #5 on the UK Albums Chart in July 2008. Rolling Stone included Black Kids on their "Artists to Watch" list in 2007, and they appeared on the BBC Top 10 Sound of 2008 poll." --Wikipedia

"Debut album from the Florida group that Rolling Stone named "Artists to Watch" in 2008. Their first single. `I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance With You' entered the UK Charts at #11. `Partie Traumatic' was produced by former Suede guitarist Bernard Butler and is choc-full of equally effervescent pop songs just waiting to be heard. Judging by their live shows the song is an indie disco anthem in the making. A dash of disco, a dash or two of heartbreak and a rousing chorus, what else do you need?" -- Sony. 2008.

^ Amen.

I've been listening to them like crazy. Look at Me (When I Rock Wichoo) is my favorite right now.
And a lot of shows are using their music. So awesome. smile.gif

They sound pretty funky fresh.
