This is happening to a friend of mine, and it makes me SO angry. The couple have been going out for a while now, about a year. They're college students if that means anything. Just recently, he tells my friend that there's something bothering him and that he can't concentrate. One of the issues is school, and the other is the fact that he feels that she doesn't measure up to him in terms of appearance. IMO, she is SO cute. She's the sweetest girl ever, and it kills me for him to say that to her.

They've been going out for a while and she really loves him. Is this normal? Haha... I told her that there are plenty of guys out there who will be able to appreciate her beauty inside AND out. But she tells me that she's not really hurt, but mainly just confused about where the relationship is going. She herself thinks that she's not that pretty.. I beg to differ, haha. I'm at a loss of what to tell her...!

*EDIT* Oh, and apparently it's not just this once. He brings it up once in a while, trying to make a point that he's better than her.
