I guess you can consider Vampire Knight (Which I hate but will admit it's sexy)

i don't remember any tv shows other than the one's you've mentioned but i know Anne rice is like the queen of writing vampire novels.
Edit: a good movie would be interview with a vampire or queen of the damned

"Angel"? lol but it probably counts as "buffy the vampire slayer"

Dracula by Bram Stoker < - actually I think you should really talk about this one. I haven't read it but I think it was really influential to the horror novels and the vampire myth.

Interview with the Vampire - movie and book

True Blood
Moonlight
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Angel
House of Night Series (i.e. marked, chosen, betrayed etc.)
Dracula? ... especially if you're doing vampirism through the ages.
Blade (especially Trinity biggrin.gif)

True, I disliked the movies (I couldn't even get through either of the movies because they were so bad and lame), but I thoroughly enjoyed the novels. Twilight will be even more of a disgrace to vampire films, for Stephanie Meyer's vampires are portrayed so unrealistically, and no, vampires do not sparkle.

Novels
Mention Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles (Interview with the Vampire, the Vampire Lestat, Queen of the Damned, Tales of the Body Thief, Memnoch the Devil, The Vampire Armand), vampire novels by Laurell K Hamilton

Movies
The Lost Boys

Can you mention vampirism through fashion xD? The Japanese, gothic style is somewhat influenced by vampires (pallid faces + aristocratic clothing), however I'm not sure if this statement is 100% valid.

Nosferatu. First original vamp movie ever made. The vampire looks hella scary too.
there was an awesome Vamp in culture hour special that I saw on HBO demand under True Blood. Pretty good. It speaks of more movies and shows. I mean at least a dozen.

*edit* Can't forget From Dusk till Dawn.
LOST: The Final Countdown

- Moonlight
- Blood Ties
- Interview with the Vampire
- True Blood
- Vampire Hunter D

That's all I can think of for now.

Just look at imbd.com or Google. Many vamp films will pop up. Same for the books.

However if you also want to know vampire chicklit, you've got the 'undead' series from MaryJanice Davidson. Main character is Betsy, the vampire queen. tongue.gif

If you don't mind homosexual content, you should consider Lost Souls by Poppy Z. Brite. It's a fantastic book about a boy who's trying to find his path in life. XD It may sound corny and cliche, but it's not. The writing is somewhat mediocre but the story just draws you in. XD It's one of my current favorites. <3

Then there's Night Road by A.M. Jenkins. It's not homosexual, by the way. It's about Hemevores, a different name for what we would consider 'vampires.' Hemevores = those that live on blood. XDD Jenkins is really thorough and dissects all the aspects of hemevores and the characters. There's a background for everything and I found myself aching for more whenever I put it down. DDX

There's also Out For Blood. I don't remember the author but it's another homosexual vampire novel and I didn't like the ending so I'm not a fanatic for it. :\

If you don't mind manga, there's Vampire Knight which is basically just a romance. I gave up on it but the concept of the vampire world is pretty well developed. There's also Vampire Doll and Vampire Game but they don't focus on vampire-world concepts. There's also Trinity Blood, which I absolutely adore. It's a much better concept of vampires and vampires that feed off other vampires. XDD I just adore it! And I still need to finish it. D:

The only vampire movie I've seen besides Queen of the Damned is Moonchild, which is Japanese and basically just follows the life of two friends and their everlasting bond. Which I admit isn't that well written, but I loved it regardless because I just love the relationship between the main characters and the actors themselves. XD

Hope this helps. <3
