So I bought a pair of Corsair Twin2x4096 XMS2 yesterday and upon opening, the Heatsink + Ram Modules just fell off the board. I've went onto the Corsair website and have found that many people have the same problem. I am hoping to get a full replacement this week.
This is just a warning to anyone who is happening to be looking at a DDR2 Corsair ram as the soldering is now up to class and the ram will fall apart upon opening.

Yup, the actual chips came off ATTACHED to the heatsink. Currently running 2gb for now, looking to get it replaced.
Some pictures

1 of the ram is being used right now but I will remove it when I am heading out to replace it.

see how all 8 ram chips are stuck to the heatsink but not the board? Were they trying to save on screws or what? Having a screw to hold on the heatsink would've been a lot better

A little closer look on the module

And finally a little closer than before. See the little soldering pegs? I believe they use heatguns now, not solders.

thats pretty dodgy from corsair. corsair used to provide clips which press the heat spreaders together but now nothing?! fair bodge.

Well the asktheramguy forum, the RAM GUY there seems to be pretty friendly and will replace any corsair ram that has been damaged due to manufacturing.
