lastly Clark needs a male friend, too many women on the show and Clark needs a man in his life besides Lionel or Lex. I know there is jimmy but they haven't put those two together so much.

dean cain was awesome as dr. knox/vandal savage, and i like how the episode addresses the issue of immortality and what it does to your relationships. i hope he's returning in another episode. while wise understanding-lana still disgusts me, i was also actually happy with the clana scenes as it foreshadows their eventual breakup. i mean, now SHE's lying to him, how can this relationship ever work? also, i'm not a fan of the chloe-jimmy-kara thing, but the chloe-jimmy breakup was handled quite nicely. in the end, i hope jimmy doesn't end up with anyone until clark becomes superman... then chloe. overall a great episode last thursday.

because the writers don't think she's smart enough to be honest with the people she loves, even after witnessing ALL that clark's been through. while the breakup scene was way better than i thought it'd be, i still hate the fact that the writers have to end every single relationship on the series based on the same reason, over and over again... it's like "oh no, clark and lana are happy now, gotta ruin someone else's relationship!"

between classes and work and shoots i finally managed to watch "action" and it was GREAT.

it follows the bigger arc of clark fulfilling his destiny nicely after last week's episode and actually refers to lana as "standing in the way" of clark becoming supes. when that depraved fanboy was gonna drop lana off the building i was cheering for him because everything he says is so true. even lana HERSELF says she's standing in the way. some nice overshadowing, i was practically squealing when clark gets the red cape.

the return of our favorite LLs. lois lane, back from wherever she was, is looking more and more like, well, lois lane. erica durance is showing some great chemistry with michael cassidy, but then again, she's always shown great chemistry with all her co-stars... did anyone catch the rare lois lane-lex luthor moment? again, great chemistry in a relatively short scene and lois in her secretary getup looked smokin'!

the other LL, lionel luthor, made a glorious comeback, i knew it was lana lang luthor behind his capture the minute that crazy lady made a call. i think lionel will be the one calling lana on the shady stuff she's done. i can see it now. lana kills lionel, clark finds out, he finally realizes lana's not worth it and ends things with her. he goes after lois. end of season 7.

also, the depraved fanboy and christina millian's character were great additions to the episode. the only thing i kinda felt icky about was how they took a jab at fans, particularly online fans. they know we're squirming under all this clana gross-ness and they're making fun of it a little. i know it was done mostly in jest, but these days i find it hard to appreciate anything almiles do.

can't wait for 'lara'.

Lara is a great episode esp. with Clark and Kara..and Clark seeing his mom for the first time. Just didn't like the fact that it was Kara who suggested Lara to name Clark Kal-el.

Lana MAKES ME ANGRY. I only started watching Smallville like... last season.. and I really don't hate Lex. Actually, everyone I can deal with, but LANA... She's CUCKOO.

Is it just me but is Smallville and Supernatural getting unusually bloody? (e.g. Lionel and that thing on his hand and him trying to pull it off...)

But yeah, I like season 7. I enjoyed nearly every episode this this season. =)

I think they are trying to make Lana to be a very complex character, because of the influence of Lex, so she become delusional and disturbed. But it's not coming out the right way

GREATEST show ever. I don't have time to write an essay, but it's good in so many respects - a perfect blend of action, comic book, and drama.

Anyway, does anyone else think Bruce Wayne would be a great character to add? He's like Lex except good, so he'd be the hero in Lex's world, or something.

Kara's pretty hot though.
