So, does anyone have that as their major?
Know anyone with it?

what school do they attend & what are the best schools for it?
Anywhere in the US, doesn't have to be state restricted.

Thanks!
but my knees get weak intensive
when you give me k-kisses.

I'm studying criminal justice. Right now I'm going to the local community school and to finish up for my b.s. I'll be going to the University to finish the rest of the classes. The major is almost a year old at my school so I bet in about five years they'll have everything and you won't have to go to other schools to finish. All I would suggest is looking at schools near you (if you want to go to a school near you now) and look at their departments and how you'd think you'd like going there. I believe those Virginia Tech schools now have criminal justice as a major. As far as classes I have enjoyed all of them so far. I'm right now taking a info data class which basically is talking about cyber crimes and how criminals use the internet for their crimes and what law enforcement is doing to combat it. I've got a few more classes to take before heading to the university hopefully.

I'm taking Criminal Justice at Ryerson University up here in Canada.

I'm hating it right now.

Been learning what's WRONG with the system in Canada.

So much for wanting to become a cop. Gonna switch to psych.

Probably better in the US.

NEWSFLASH: I HAVEN'T BEEN A MODERATOR FOR LIKE 2-3 YEARS, SO STOP MESSAGING ME ABOUT YOUR PROBLEMS.

I initially applied for a Criminology major at University of Toronto (in Canada)
but you don't actually start your major until second year
so I can't say much now since I'm a freshman.

All I know is that you need to have a minimum of 3.0GPA during first year
to be considered to major in Criminology.

what can you do in the criminal justice/criminology major?
That maybe it's true
That I can't live without you
And maybe two is better than one
There's so much time
To figure out the rest of my life
And you've already got me coming undone
And I'm thinking two is better than one

I'm taking a course in criminology right now and it's super interesting. Though I'm not major in it, I wonder why LOL probably because I don't want to be a prosecutor or defender, I'm only interest in the forensic science part but you won't make a lot of money in that so yeah.... By the way, after taking this class, I realize that prosecutor don't make a lot of money as many people thought they do. Defense attorney do make a bit more money, but usually everyone started out as a prosecutor first. Anyway, my school (USF) is like one of the top ten of criminal justice/criminology Ph.D. programs in the nation so I'm quite proud of that. I love the professors, they're all very knowledgable and respectable in their field of study.

About what can you do with a criminology major...hmm A LOT believe me. You can work for a lot of the government agencies like the court, correctional system, police (doesn't really require the major but if you want to advance higher up in the rank then yeah..)
2008 is truly a wonder year but the wonder will never end.

Criminal Justice is a major and within that they have several courses pertaining to it. I'm sure you'd be able to take one of the classes just for fun. Check with your school.
There are TONS of courses, from Criminal Evidence to Narcotics to Criminal Law to Crime Scene Investigation.
