As I was driving home, I slowed down to pay the toll. I was waiting in line with few other cars in front and back of me. Got the money ready and slowly stop at the toll station. The toll station's worker told me that the car before me has already paid for my toll. Confused about that situation. I didn't know any one who drove that car (a black BMW) so why would he pay for my toll fee. I tried to catch up to see who it was but couldn't (maybe the driver was driving to fast).

I have thought of many reasons but still unsure. Why would a total stranger pay for me? Just curious and would like to hear your opinions about this incident. Thx Thx biggrin.gif

Maybe he had extra change, and he was just like "just put it towards the guy behind me"
I did that before when I was picking up my girlfriend..... But that's because I wanted to look good/nice sweatingbullets.gif

That was really nice of whoever paid for your toll fee. Maybe they were just feeling generous at the moment.

Maybe the person doesn't like dealing with loose change.

I know I don't.

People do that a lot during the holidays.

Random acts of kindness.

One person would pay for the person behind him or her and the person paid for would pay for the next one.
It happened 20+ time here in SF on the Bay Bridge. It was on the news. lol It turned out some dude in a BMW stopped the chain.

Yup, it could be just a random good deed or don't want to deal with change but nevertheless, things like this give a very small hope for human race.

That guy must have been in a happy mood to do that!

If there's something wrong with your mind, you see a shrink.
But, when there's something wrong with your soul, you have no where to run to, but MUSIC.

How much was the toll? If it's a bridge in NY, which easily costs over $5, I dont think I'd be paying for others' tolls...

There was a psychology experiment about social cognitive theory that if one person pays for the person behind, they will also pay for the person in the back, the chain will go on, it surprisingly went on for 5 hours. heh idk if its real, but its what i've heard.

Wow , what the guy did was nice..maybe he just did not want change or was in the hurry to go..so he just said to pay for you too, so he need not wait for the change?
