i confessed to a girl i like, she knows i like her but we're currently staying as friends. Earlier this year she went out with a dude for like 2 weeks, she said she was really hurt when he broke up with her out of no where. We talked about everything and i eventually ended up confessing. i talked to her about me not being sure if i still have feelings for her, i eventually came to the conclusion i still have feelings for her, so i told her how i still felt. Her reply was,
"I would go out with you if i was looking for a relationship, i'm still getting over my old boyfriend."
what i want to know is, now what? Should i take this as a NO and move on, or wait a few until shes ready?

just be there for her and be patient.
i have a similar story as you.
i confessed to a girl i like, but she currently at that time liked someone else so she said she wanted to stay as friends.
we became pretty close and i helped her out with the guy she liked but he turned out to be a kool-aid and she decided to not go for him.
during that time, iwas confused about my feelings for her. did i like her?
but one day, she confessed to me and said she liked me back and that her feelings for me grew over time and hated the fact that she wasted a good opportunity a while back.
turned out i really did like her, and now she's my girlfriend :]

how long has it been since she broke up with her ex? ..
its not a deep relationship right? since it only lasted for 2 weeks??
dont see why she cant forget about him.. hmmm.. maybe its an excuse! but u did mention she talked about him.. so probably shes saying the truth! .. and still is?? o_O
but girls are emotional.. even if a relationship ended soon... the feeling was probably strong, thats why they dated! .. getting over him can b a timeplan..
if shes worth it.. then maybe u can wait for her..

Yeah, I told some guy I liked him and he said he liked me a little too, but nothing else happened. We're still friends, but I guess I didn't like him that much since I moved on pretty quickly.

just wait a little bit
no reason to move on just because she's not ready for a another relationship
she never said NO as in never. She meant give her some time

if you like her.. wait for her! it's worth it! she's interested except her 2 wk relationship is keeping her fromgoing out with you. must have been a deep 2wk relationship?
if you dont like her as much...no point waiting..
