i'm thinking about getting a car, either a scion tc or a honda accord coupe. i know the price difference is a bit big, but if a scion is a good car, i'd just stick to it. any suggestions??

Accords are huge and ugly. The only one that is decent is the V6 coupe. Otherwise, go for the TC...you'll save money, and they're supposed to have a supercharger for the TC.

TC vs a 4 cylinder accord, i would pick the TC. between the two, its more about personal style.

if its a newer model V6 accord, now thats another story.

also the g can already run mid 13s stock and the hks intakes adds an estimated 10 extra hp and the exhausts add like 8 so yeah it should shove off about 1.5 to 2 sec off my times

I'm a guy in mid-twenties and a tC owner.
It's a great car for that price range.
Could use more power, but i'm not gonna be a fool and race cars in highways.

If you have the budget and want more power, go with a Accord coupe V6.
Otherwise, get a tC.
You won't regret it.

no. do not get it.

you can't see any of your blind spots. whoever designed the car must have been on drugs or something. also, you can't really see the front hood of your car. i sat in the passenger seat and turned my head around to look for oncoming cars... cant see anything. the side of the car is blocking my view.
i can only imagine,,,

another car in ur price range that i would check out is the new civic. u can get a civic coupe with navi. for 20k MSRP and comes wiht almost the same things as the tC =] if it was out of tC, civic Coupe, i'd take the Civic =]

funny this thread started today... I actually had a chance to see what a TRD supercharged TC with bolt-ons(from what I could tell) could do today... I must say I was pretty impressed considering by 110MPH I only had 2-3 CL on him.. I thought I would blow him away... my car makes 260bhp 340tq blink.gif

But you know, theres more to cars than power... I'd say just test drive both and see which one you like better.

I am in scienergyoz, and i like the scion community also because we have alot of meets all the time, and its a very tight nit community. You can learn alot on scionlife.com and go into the forums.

I have my own club division in missouri and its really cool.

here are some pics of my car, and my friends turbo tc ( this is sciondads car on scionlife, so please dont think i am taking credit).

I am sorry, but the trd supercharger has not come out yet?
Unless it was a custom job, i didnt hear anything about it, i might be wrong, since i am going f/i, i beleive pricing was out and installation instructions were released, but not the kit itself. And it only gives about 30-40% gain, which is roughly 40 hp and 40 tq, which sets the tc at 200 hp and tq, which in my opinion is decent, since we spool really fast, but i am going f/i and shooting around 300 hp 330 tq.

hmm.. the Toyota/Scion headquarters of USA is located where I live, so its not unusual to see concept cars/special project cars around here... but I guess it must have been a custom job... theres no way a non-FI tc can keep up that well with me, the car had TRD emblems on the front grill along with a bunch of stickers, so I assumed it was that model. What does a turbo tc typically make in terms of power?
