Close. Since you have an SI, it'll straight drop in because you have the same series motor. If you had a D series, you'd need a rear SI mount.

I think you're better off spending an extra 5000 dollars on another car.

also the g can already run mid 13s stock and the hks intakes adds an estimated 10 extra hp and the exhausts add like 8 so yeah it should shove off about 1.5 to 2 sec off my times

what makes me wonder the most is why bother spending over 4k on that swap, when you can rebuild and mod your current engine with the same 4k and likely get better results? or just go with a k-series and call it a day.

a b16 is a b16... whether it be an Ax or a B.. it's still a damn b16.

K is the only letter you will need for your car. That motor does have power, just that its a bit on the expensive side I think. Building your own type-R motor with a head swap would do you better. Also, hopefully you don't live anywhere that they might check your motor for years. Its illegal to swap an older motor into a new car. Whatever you do, good luck.

I agree with everyone who said K is the way on Honda swap.

Unfortunately based on the OP question on motor swap, i wouldn't tell him to do K swap. There are plenty fabrications under the hood and buying all the right parts that cost extra $$$ to make it fit and work on EG/EK.

That JDM B18C type R is the best motor B series has to offer, you can't go wrong with that. Plus it's a drop in install, so swap wouldn't be as hard.

The way I see it is if you out to have fun on the street and ocassional track time, a built B-series is the way to go, if you do all out competition then you need a K-series or H/F-series.

It all comes down to how much money are you willing to put on your car and how much power are you looking for?

Ha, to use $4900 to buy a K-series and get all the necessary parts to get it in there, is well over $7000-8000 total. The Type S with trans is $4000 on hmotors. Buying K-pro along with the K20A2 already exceeds $5000 and there's still much to get it in.
