so here's the short story..
my parents took away my cell phone cuz they were sick of paying the monthly fees
and said i need to do start paying my own bills. bottom line, i have NO cell phone NOTHING. they canceled
EVERYTHING from my previous cell phone.

i was thinking of getting a pay as you go phone with rogers..
like i barely ever talk on my cell phone , i text a lot.
i'm on the website right now but i am so confused! like i just was pay as you with UNLIMITED texting.
is that possible?
how do you make payments for this phone?
i work at a drug store and we sell these like 50 dollar Rogers phone card.. what are these? are these for pay as you go?
i am so confused.. can someone please help me step by step on
1) activating/getting a phone
2) pay as you go plan
3) how to make payments on this phone
4) i just want unlimited texting...

When you buy the card you call the number given and then it askes you to punch in the activation code

2) pay as you go plan
I think it's 25cent per minute on Rogers. The minutes are rounded up... meaning if you talk for 40seconds it counts as 1minute

3) how to make payments on this phone
You pay the money up front when you buy your card. Whatever amount you have purchase will expire within 30days... unless you get the $100 deal, which will roll over for a full year [better deal if you plan to buy the cheapest card($10/month) since you'll save $20 if you are sure you'll be needing your phone that long]

4) i just want unlimited texting...
Err I'm not sure about this one, you can call and ask them. Though I'm sure you'll have better luck with Koodo on umlimited texting

P.S. You get unlimited local calling from people who are also on pay as you go plans

about the unlimited texting..
you can add texting packages onto your pay as you go phone.
for example..you can get 125 texts for $6 a month. so at the beginning of each month or whatever, they will deduct $6 from your account..just make sure that you have enough money in account prior to the time they deduct it.

you can get a pay as you go phone from any Rogers retailer (models are limited though). when you do this, the sales rep. should be activating it for you blah blah blah. you get to pick your number and stuff..then i think you get like $50 free when you activate your phone.

topping up: buy those cards..they come in $10, $20 etc..and then do what it says on the instructions and now you have added more money onto your account.

Roger's is RAPE!.. go to fido!!

cuz i have Rogers pay as you go right now.. and they charge 40 cents/min.. while Fido only charges 30 Cents/min
both companies charge outgoing text for $15 and free incoming text

but anyways.. i'll post more later.. i have to go out now >.>
