So.. I was wondering.. What are the top 5 things on your list of "WHAT I DON'T WANT FROM MY S/O"? lol of course every gift should be treasured and loved.. but what are some things that you could really live without, or expect never to get from your s/o on special occasions [i.e. your birthday]??

I'll start off with my personal list laugh.gif

1. Gift cards [sure they COULD be great.. if I really wanted something from a specific store and didn't have money.. how much thought did you put into this gift again?]
2. Educational Books [lol.. is it meant to be my new bible?]
3. Candles [Yes, they are SO romantic.. but we are currently living in the 21st century and I fail to see the need for candles xD ]
4. Makeup [Am I the only one who does not wear makeup?]
5. [edited] Okay forget I said chocolates.. chocolates are nice biggrin.gif

lol I'm extremely sentimental with gifts that I receive and stuff.. So no matter how small or meaningless it is, I'll probably be constantly thinking about it ><" Just thinking up that list took me a good 15-20 minutes ..

Anyways, post up your own list !!

I disgaree a little with educational books. My girlfriend gave me a Korean text book as a gift and I thought it was a cute, and nice gesture.

1. Nothing at all.
2. Something expensive/extravagant that has no meaning behind it. (this is different from something I want thats expensive. this is just a expensive gift that has no meaning behind it and it's one of those 'it's expensive you can't get mad @ me for it!' because its a superficial gift)
3. Something I personally dislike. (too many. xD)
4. Nonpersonal gift. (random thing you picked up @ the mall because you couldn't find something better)
5. A hallmark card with just signing his name. Thanks. You thought about me a lot when you picked this prewritten card, huh.

Lol. XD Maybe i'm being a bit picky. but eh.

i don't know why but ... that made me lol. that also reminded me of this one time i was at victorias secret about xmas time and these guys (young looking. maybe highschool?) went in there asking for the santa lingerie but apparently they were sold out. huh.gif

hm ... i can't say i really have anything i wouldn't want to receive from my s/o except thoughtless gifts but even then, atleast it's nice that he even thought to buy me anything. lol.
Some say i'm a genius, others say i'm crazy
but they all say i'm a little on the weird side

yes things can be crap gifts but I really think its the thought that counts and at least they make an effort to buy or make u stuff. Thats all that really matters, it could the worst present in the world but it shouldnt matter because they are your significant other and having u is the best gift of all right? a gf or bf, fiance, husband, wife

I remember when i was 16, one girl thought it would be cool to get me a packet of cigarettes. She gave some my happy poopoo about them being rare and expensive, that said i wasn't expecting anything so at the time i was pleasantly surprised. It's only in retrospect i realise it was a mini cooper gift, oh and the small matter of finding out they're the same brand her dad smoke and she just took the packet out of his smoking drawer.

I don't like people getting me grooming products either, i always end up thinking they're trying to tell me i smell or look scruffy.

Someone mentioned Money LOL! That's so funny.

1. A re-gift gift.
2. A break-up.
3. Something that I would find useless, like some kind of electronic device that I wouldn't know how to use.
4. Diseases.
5. No acknowledgment.

Flowers.

I hate flowers. They die eventually and then I have no use for them.
At least give me chocolate. That, I can digest.
