When I was taking out my contacts just now, I noticed the left one had a half moon piece torn off of the edge. This is the second time in a row this has happened with perfectly good contact lenses.
I looked in the mirror and found the torn piece was on my top eyelashes.
UHH WHAT.
I am so mad right now. I want to throw something. These were my last pair and I'm going to have to end up buying them here in Japan, where I'm sure they'll be like twice the price they are in the states.
Freaking contact solution is over $10 at the cheapest store.
Has this happened to anyone?! How did it tear off and stick to my top eyelashes?!
What really pisses me off is that this is the second time it happened.

How are you taking your lenses out?
Are you "picking" them out or are you sliding them out?
You might have accidentally caught your nail on it, if you're picking them out.

ahahah... that happens to me A LOT!
i had a couple times where a small piece of my contact was left on my eye while the majority of it is on my finger. Imagine trying to take a tiny piece of contact out. LOL freaky

^ Ugh! I hope that never happens to me, I'd freak out!
I don't slide them out. The only way I can get them out is by picking. :\
My nails grow really fast and I didn't realize how long they've gotten. I try not to touch them with my nails... I guess I accidentally did. But even when I open a soda can I don't use my nails. Hmm.
I'll keep that in mind for next time.

^ your new contacts probably didn't dry out your eyes so much, so they won't rip when you take them out.
to the topic poster.. were your eyes dried out a lot? next time try putting some saline solution or eye drops into your eye to wet your eyes a bit, rub your eye, let it absorb under the contact, then take them off.?
