Well, my computer before I had this one I had it for 6 years and I was always having trouble with it. Well, the most bizarre thing that I have ever seen happen to a computer was when I noticed it would randomly reboot ITSELF. c_C I am NOT kidding. Anyway I found out it was cause of a virus and it was quite a trick to get rid of and have the computer semi-normal again.

So, what's the weirdest most bizarre thing that has gone wrong with your computer?

Hah, I was at work, and there are these computer kiosks that people can make custom music cds on.. and I walked past one and the mouse was controlling itself, and doing its own updates!

But it wasn't anything going wrong, just the company that services the machines doing updates via remote control hehe, it was just strange at first.

my computer refuses to install sp1 for vista, but keeps telling me there is a new update when i switch it on.

Iono, I find it very weird and irritating...but mostly irritating.

Imagine having a hair on your screen.. now imagine that hair IN your screen so you cant clean it along with a whole lot of specks of dust. My screen was not properly sealed and let in dust and hairs so it would be like I had a dirty screen on the inside.

Now imagine a laptop where it automatically holds a key for you... like while you type the Shift key gets stuck "on" like you're holding it but the keys are up and not stuck so its like caps except all the number keys would make &)*(#$ as if you were holding the shift. Same with Control and Alt.

I had a computer that would randomly turn off my USB and the drives would just spin down like I was shutting down then the computer froze.

My favorite was plugging in a USB external drive and hearing a POP sound and then... my computer was no more. Apparently my house isn't grounded so if there are voltage differences it will potentially be a dangerous source of shock.

Oh a classic one..

A popup message on my pc screen with the text -> HERE IS YOUR COFFEE CUP, GET SOME COFFEE.

Then the CD drive ejected.

Computer Hijack/Trojan obvious.

My computer was making moaning voices, it sounded like some x rated porn star.

My friend's computer is really strange.
The thing that you put the disc on, opens by itself.
It even turns restarts itself.
@_@ Pretty creepy.

rofl. about this .. i always go to geek squad @ best buy near my house simply cause they are awesome tech nerds biggrin.gif my brother is also a tech nerd but he lives too far away from me to get my computer fixed at times .. so i just go to best buy & get the geek squad to do it. im scared to touch my comp once its damaged dry.gif its more convience even though sometimes they charge kind of way too much (:

most bizarre thing that happened for me to bring to geek squad is when my comp just completely blacked out & keep turning off & on automatically ><

Another story!

XD

One time a LONG LONG time ago. Like, I was 10 years old, and computers were 64 MB hard drive at the time and was Windows 3.1..So...

I was talking to a friend on the phone and there was a picture I was wanting to delete a picture I had saved. So, I am talking on the phone and I press to empty recycle. Immediately the computer shut down and I had no idea why. My Grandmother was going to be home in an hour, this was her computer, see. So I had probably cried a puddle of tears, prepared to beg for my life cause I broke her computer and didn't even know how. And I learned doing the computer and talking on the phone was not a good idea. ^^;;;;; Apparently I had deleted the Kernel file which caused the OS to not be able to start. ^^;;;

I've had a CRT monitor literally blow up on me.
First was sparks, then BOOM from the inside, red sparks, and then smoke.
It was actually pretty funny.

my computer screen likes to flicker a lot (pink screen), don't know why.
well, one time i was on the internet and all of a sudden my computer just began moving around on its own, like going on a website that i didn't even click on. It was as if it had a mind of it's own, and that's happened twice already. At first I thought it was a virus or a hacking, but after i restarted my computer, it was back to normal again. Weird...anyway, the flickering still continues, does anyone know why that is? thanks.

the pink screen could be due to a loose VGA or DVI connection, my cousins computer used to do this, whenever i accidentally nudged it or whatever then the screen wud turn a shade of pink. check all ur cables are on tight and if that doesnt work, just keep adjusting the CPU until the normal colours return to ur screen. as to the whole website changin thing, i dont know the answer to that one.

i freak out whenever i get viruses on my computer, the last 1 my brother put on was this 1 where it called itself XP antivirus or somethin then every time i switched my computer on, this pop up window wud come up with like a loading bar on it that was telling me that it was "updating virus definitions" then this 2nd window wud come up that says things like "1 file infected....26 files infected.....58 files infected....524 files infected...." then i just thought "what the the f&*$?!" eventually i had to do a whole system restore and lost everything T_T im not even sure whether the virus is still there
