Hey Everyone!!

I always read about asian music here, but I'm actually VERY curious which American artist(s) you guys like the best, and which songs you like most from them!!

For example..

I adore Chris Brown
//favorite songs --> Picture Perfect; With You; Superhuman; No Air; Wall To Wall; Damage; Kiss Kiss

I'm also crazy about Ne Yo //favorite songs --> Sexy Love; So Sick; Closer; Because Of You; Hate That I Love You

And of course not to forget Jordin Sparks //favorite songs --> One Step At A Time; Tattoo

AND AND AND Usher is great too!! I can dream most of his songs tongue.gif //favorite songs --> Same Girl; What's A Man To Do; Bedtime; My Boo; Yeah (reggae Remix)

AND Flo Rida for his AWESOME raps! //favorite songs --> Low; I Bet; In The Ayer

And Last but Absolutely NOT least, Beyoncé Knowles! Without her, this list would not be complete tongue.gif She has one of the most AMAZING voices in the world!!!! biggrin.gif //favorite songs --> Irreplaceable; Listen; Survivor; Déja-Vu; Beautiful Liar; Crazy In Love

And I swear, I could sum up SO much more, but than I would be going on forever tongue.gif

Much Love,
Assia ♥

Cobra Starship - Send My Love To The Dancefloor I'll See You In Hell, Guilty Pleasure, My Moves Are White (White Hot, That Is), The Church Of Hot Addiction, The Kids Are All ____ed Up

Boys Like Girls - I actually recommend their entire CD. It's so good. But I'd have to say that Thunder, Dance Hall Drug, and Five Minutes To Midnight are the BESTEST ones.

Panic! At The Disco - That Green Gentleman (Things Have Changed), Nine In The Afternoon, But It's Better If You Do, Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off

Backstreet Boys - OMG. ALL THEIR SONGS. Yes.

We The Kings - Check Yes Juliet, Skyway Avenue, Stay Young, Secret Valentine

Metro Station - Kelsey, Shake It (of course), California, Now That We're Done

Anberlin - A Day Late, Change The World, A Whisper And A Clamor, Never Take Friendship Personal

Jason Mraz - I'm Yours, You And I Both, Remedy, Lucky

Man, I can go on forever lol.

You're into Rnb! good stuff! If you're into mid 90s-late, you are cool in my book lol tongue.gif

I'll just recommend some songs according to your tastes and also from some the artist you listed as well ...just in case you haven't heard of them.

Oh and just to warn you, most of what I listed is more mid-tempo or ballads lol It just happen to turn out that way. If you'd like me to recommend more upbeat I have no problem with that. I like sharing my music tastes lol

Some artist your familiar with:

Destiny's Child-Temptation (Beyonce's group)
Destiny's Child- She can't love you
Destiny's Child- Emotions
Beyonce- Dangerously in love (look up her perfomance for this, it's really amazing)

Chris Brown- Say goodbye
Chris Brown- Ain't no way
Chris Brown- Hear ain't a brain
Chris Brown- Fallen Angel

Usher- You got it bad (try the remix as well)
Usher- Nice and slow
Usher- You make me wanna (his debut song)

Neyo- Say it
Neyo- So you can cry
Neyo- Go on girl
Neyo- Make it work

If you like Chris Brown and Usher, you should like these guys:

Lloyd- Heart Attack
Lloyd- Southside
Lloyd- Girlfriend
Lloyd- This love
Lloyd- Get it Shawty (upbeat song)

Latif- Don't wanna hurt you
Latif- Without you
Latif- Heavenly

Mario- Music for love
Mario- How do I breathe (try the remix as well)
Mario- How could you
Mario- Kryptonite (upbeat song)
Mario- Crying out for me
Mario- Let me love you
Mario- Just a friend (upbeat song)

Rashad- Sweet Misery (might be under the artist latif b/c ppl made a mistake)

Some females...

Mya- Best of me feat. Jay-Z remix (original with Jadakiss is pretty good too)
Mya- Fallen
Mya- After the rain

Brandy- Wow
Brandy- Come a little closer
Brandy- Escape
Brandy- Departed

Alicia Keys- Goodbye (I am pretty sure you've heard of her)
Alicia Keys- Fallen
Alicia Keys- Butterflies
Alicia Keys- Why do I feel so sad

Mariah Carey-Roof (pretty darn sure you've heard of her)
Mariah Carey-Breakdown
Mariah Carey- Honey
I like most of her older songs lol So I haven't listed any late ones. I personally believe her 'daydream' and 'butterfly' album was her best lol So yeah if you like her stuff, try out those albums.

Aaliyah- I don't wanna be
Aaliyah- One in a million (this is more old school not sure if you like it)
Aaliyah- I miss you
Aaliyah- More than a woman (upbeat song)
Aaliyah- 4 page letter (this is more old school not sure if you like it)
Aaliyah- Hot like fire (try the remix with Timbaland, old school, up beat)
Her old stuff is way awesome. Let me know if you more.

Male Group:

112- Someone to hold
112- Cupid
112- Crazy over you
112- Love you like I did
112- You already know
112- Love me 112- (upbeat)
112- Hot and wet (upbeat)

*edit*

I do not know why I kept repeating the artists name, I should have just added a colons and commas lol laugh.gif

i have a love american music. mostly old songs though; i feel like i'm stuck in the 90's decade =X

New Kids On The Block-Single
(and i could list a bunch of their other songs, but they have way too much to list ;D )

Donnie Klang-Rolling Stone
(from making the band 4, hes so cuteee !)

David Cook-Always Be My Baby
(american idol winner '08; he rocked out mariah carey's 'always be my baby')

Leona Lewis-Better in Time
(this song is pretty goood.)

Ne-Yo- all of his songs are gooood.

& cant forget my 90's favs, they can never get old;
Backstreet Boys-I'll never find someone like you
(one of their songs that are not on any of their albums)

Nsync-its gonna be me
(loveee this song !)

Spice Girls-Stop
(i still lovee the spice girls!)

O-town-All or Nothing
(was obsessed with making the band1 & this is one f their best songs)

have a lot more but i just cant think of any of the top of my head right now(:

I am totally for older music than mainstream music of today. I can never get enough of Backstreet Boys. I really like their latest album, it's a nice step from their '05 album. Some artists I listen to are Augustana, Bobby Tinsley, Claude Kelly, Dontae, Dido, Jesse McCartney, Karmina, Lady GaGa, Plumb, 30 Seconds to Mars, etc.
What singers I like best? Those that aren't known because I tend to like their music 100x more than mainstream, but sometimes there are some catchy mainstream stuff and I do listen to mainstream, but I still prefer those unknown artists.

The Strokes - great band, their album Is This It? is just fantastic. Their second and third albums weren't half-bad either.
Bright Eyes - something of an acquired taste but once you get used to it, it's just... poetry.
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Dani California (total rip off of Tom Petty but still a killer song nonetheless), Scar Tissue
Nirvana - best band ever haha hands down (okay maybe not)
Chevelle - not an extraordinary band, but still one of the better bands out there
Sublime - heck yeah
Queens of the Stone Age - frickin' rad
DeathCab for Cutie - they're pretty good
Weezer
No Doubt
Goldfrapp
Alkaline Trio

Chris Brown - he's got catchy tunes, I gotta admit
Timbaland - hit maker

"It was tender and mild, like baby Jesus."

i'll just list bands because my favourite songs change a lot.

N.E.R.D - my.favourite.band.ever
KRS-One
Common
Lupe Fiasco
Kanye West
Nas
Talib Kweli
John Legend
Run DMC
Tribe Called Quest
Eminem
Dr Dre
Timbaland
T.I
Jay-Z
Missy Elliot
Aaliyah
Ashanti
Ciara
Kelis
Robin Thicke
Notorious B.I.G
tupac
Red Hot Chili Peppers

LOL. those are my most played on itunes.
i just realised i only listen to hip-hop/rnb. with exception of the last one.
I don't understand why people shudder when they hear 'mainstream' - to me, if its good then why not. Prime example, Michael Jackson was as mainstream as you could get back in his day (still could be now) and he's one of the greatest.

My current American artist obsession is T.I. Well actually I've been obsessed with him for a long time but we have a love-hate relationship. o_o I really like the songs in his new album "Paper Trail" like Whatever You Like and Dead and Gone.
I also like

Kanye West - Stronger, Love Lockdown
Jay-Z
Beyonce
Leann Rhimes - Can't Fight the Moonlight and How Do I Live (classic!)
Ne-Yo
Timbaland
One Republic
Mariah Carey

and I know there's more but that all i could think of right now.

bigbang // twoeneeone // wondergirls // alltimelow // honorsociety // epikhigh
