Unzipping Files With Korean Or Japanese Symbols Will not extract

Sometimes when I get a zip or rar file and one of the files are written with either symbols, winzip or winrar will skip the file and won't extract it. Sometimes there are files will magically get extracted even though but most of the time it gets skipped.

I've tried:

- Double clicking zip folder and dragging out the file = Error
- Right click and select "Extract Here" = Error
- Right click and select "Extract Files to..." = Error

Does anyone got any ideas to solve this? 1000 Thanks in advance!

Open it in 7-zip you might have to rename the files to like 1.mp3 but it should be able to extract it

I don't seem to have this problem in WinRAR 3.80. Which version do you have? Also can you provide the filenames? I doubt the type/size of the files matter. I did a simple test with:

"27750. ZONE - [E 〜Complete A side Singles〜　( Disc．1 ) #16] 笑顔日和 [414]" as a file and it extracted without problems.

WinRAR 3.70 and Winzip 11. I guess I shoulda said it's a hit and miss. Some tracks will extract and some won't. I thought I had the latest WinRAR on my computer I guess not. Thanks for your replies!

I tried again with Chinese, Korean, and Japanese characters in the filenames and still no reported problem with latest WinRAR so it's either a specific combination of characters (unlikely) or issues with older version.
