Windows 7 is much faster and stable. Windows boss Steve Sinofsky has confirmed that this os can be run on a system with just 1GB of RAM.

“The interesting part is that the Win 7 boots faster, (even with the other computer’s BIOS startup out of the way), but apparently takes longer time than the other system to shut down. But yes, these are totally unscientific.”
