You don't need to make me feel even worst about this. You think that I don't feel GULITY!!! I'm not that kind of person who takes things soo lightly. My mind was blank when it happened and I was scared. I would have left a note, I just wasn't thinking straight, I sitting in a from 4.5 hours taking the SAT. FYI I'm just saying it and not to offend you, I am a girl, so I don't need balls.
----------------
On another note, My car has a huge dent from some other car parked next me when opening the door. I didn't get a note or see them paying for the damages. This is worst that I what I did that car if I even did anything.

Fine dont grow some balls but what I mean is why are you are so scared lol, SAT is about the smallest shock you will ever get in life.
Did you get mad at how the person ding you door? Now you passed the favor on to the person you hit. Just cuz one person did it to you don't justity anything. And why were you scared? Was someone trying to hurt you? I am just angry cuz some girl hit my car, and she was scared and tried to drive away.... lucky she didnt see me and I basically just walked infront of her car and called her out. The week after my car was fixed someone hit my car again, but this in a non replaceable body panel and now I am stuck with a major repair job. Being scared don't justify anything.

Luckily the neighbor who lived there caught the kid (who again was a new driver) and she took his info and gave it to all of us. If he tried to run, i swear all four of us are gonna come hunt him down.
Do you think its fair that I have to lose my car over someone's fear that they just caused a accident? I did lose my car, but if it was hit and run, guess what, right now i'd still have no car. I needed that car to get my to school and back. Lots of times, I have to take care of my grandmother and if she has a emergency, I need that car to drive her to the emergency room. I'm not a rich person, and I didn't have my parents buy me that car. I worked my rear off to save up for my car and for someone to come by and accidently hit, it would be ethical to leave a note so that their insurance company can take care of it. I went directly to his insurance company to take care of the issue. I'm not mad about it now, the problem has been resolved and I don't have to go choke the kid for my $$$.
My car was totalled because of the accident (the silver Volvo) and i don't know about you, but if i hit someone's car, i'd leave a note (after taking some pics of the damage with my camera to make sure they don't take advantage of me) and if need be let my insurance company take care of it (that why I have insurance, besides it being a legal requirement). Thats why I drive safely and carefully to avoid accidents and i've been accident free for three years.
Don't hit and run. How would you feel if someone hit your car and ran, esp if its a car that you worked hard for and cherish a lot?
I know you feel scared, but you need to do the right thing. I remember my first car accident, although I was scared (more scared of a possible lawsuit), I did the right thing. I exchanged information and did everything textbook and I was fine.
EDIT:
Just so you know for future reference, in some places a hit and run is FELONY. If you are convicted will be very damaging for any future careers as this will be on your criminal record. Possible prison time (varies per case). Also, because you are a minor, you do run the risk of getting your parents sued because of your actions. If it was a serious hit and run or even minor they have the right to sue your parents because the car that you drove is registered under their name as well as the insurance. If for instance you committed a serious hit and run where someone was injured or killed, the injured person (or killed person's family) can sue your parents up to their net worth. Meaning that they could sue for the amounts in your bank account, your house, your cars, etc.
This is also why I have my insurance and car registered under my own name so that my parents cannot be affected by anything I do.

My sister did that early summer and she called my older brother and he told her to drive off. She called me right afterwords and told me the story and I told her to go back and leave a note. She is 17 as well and was scared to death of what happened. About 3 hours later, we get a call from the cops saying that there were witnesses up at the University and reported the accident. Lucky though that my Uncle is a good talker and a straightened everything out. It was very nice of him and my father ended up paying for the damages out of his pocket which was about $8k in damages.
My sister is lucky that my father would do something for her like that. My dad doesn't buy me jack, I pay for everything myself. If I was in a situation like that, I would consider how much Karma would bite me. Best of luck.

I was lucky enough that when my car was hit in the target parking lot someone left a note and paid for it to get fixed. I'm glad there are still decent people with morals out there. Just put yourself in that person's shoes. How did it make you feel when someone drove off without leaving you a note?

If I was in your position, I would have at least notified them. Last night when I was heading out with my roommate, I backed out of our driveway and it was dark and pouring hard. I didn't see the parked car behind me and I bumped into it. So I got out of the car and ran up to the car owner's house. I thought they weren't home and thought about leaving a note, but after 5 minutes, someone was at the door and I told them what happened. She was a really nice about the situation too. She said not to worry about it as long as the bumper doesn't fall off while she's driving then everything is ok. And she was cute too lol.

So just because your car is all ****ed up, means that you can go and **** other people's cars up too?
Don't worry about not leaving a note though, I'm sure the girls that saw you drive off probably copied down your license plate and left a note with your car's description for you. Food for thought.
Hope you sleep well tonight. Don't think about it too much.
Actually, yea, you probably should.
